Abstract:Laser-induced breakdown spectrometry (LIBS) is a technique based on atomic emission spectroscopy for the analysis of the constituents and their concentrations of substances. With the development of lasers and detection systems, LIBS has become a focus of research in the spectrometric field. This paper gives a review of the situation of the applications of LIBS in various fields, such as material analysis, environmental monitoring, industrial production control, biomedicine, botany, etc.
