Effect on minimally invasive surgery and lymph node cleaning of esophageal cancer by vats aided by hands

Abstract:Objective To study the effect on minimally invasive surgery and lymph node cleaning of esophageal cancer by VATS aided by hands.Methods 60 cases of below the staging T3N1M0 esophageal cancer as research group who had VATS aided by hands and 60 similar cases had regular thoracotomy as compare group were chosed.The results of the thoracic operation time,amount of bleeding in thoracic part,number of lymph node cleaning,positive rate of lymph node,3-year survival rate and the rate of postoperative complications were compared.Results In thoracoscope group,thoracic surgery time was(35.2±4.1) min,the bleeding amount was(101.3 ±17.4)mL,lymph node cleaning was(13.4 ± 2.1),positive rate of lymph node was 12.1%,3-year survival rate was 53.3%;In the other group,thoracic surgery time was(60.7±7.3) min,the bleeding amount was(156.1±34.5)mL,lymph node cleaning was(12.8±3.1),positive rate of lymph node was 12.5%,and 3-year survival rate was 51.7%.Compared with the compare group,the thoracic surgery time shorted,and the bleeding amount in thoracic part reduced(P < 0.05),and there was no obvious differences between the two group in number of lymph node cleaning,positive rate of lymph node,3-year survival rate and the rate of postoperative complications(P > 0.05).Conclusion VATS aided by hand in esophageal cancer can not only shorten the surgery time and reduce the bleeding amount,but also have the same radical effect by regular thoracotomy.
