On Haruki Murakami's Maiden Work Hear the Wind Sing

Abstract:This paper analyzes the question of "language" posed by Hear the Wind Sing and the connotation of "language" in literature.The author argues that Haruki Murakami's conception of writing deviates from the traditional Japanese literature,representing true post-modernism in literature.His maiden work Hear the Wind Sing marks his first attempt to transform a novel's outer form on the basis of breaking away from the inner structure of traditional novels.
