Effects of Phased Psychological Intervention on Clinical Practicing Nursing Students

Abstract:Objective To explore the effects of phased psychological intervention applied in clinical practicing nursing students on the level of pressure and coping styles.Methods A total of 116 nursing students were enrolled and divided into experimental group and control group.The phased psychological intervention was applied in the experimental group.On the contrary,the control group was not applied.Effects evaluations in different stages including before clinical practice and after practice 1 week,1 month,3 months,5 months were investigated with questionnaire.Results The scores of pressure in the experimental group in 5 months later and at the end of clinical practice were lower than those in the control group(P0.01).With the process of clinical practice,there had a declining trend in the pressure level,and the positive responses increased,while the negative responses declined in the experimental group.On the contrary,the control group showed opposite trend.Conclusions Phased psychological intervention can reduce the psychological pressure of nursing students,and have long-term and more lasting effects.
