Abstract:The changes of body biochemical compositions and glycogen content after starvation and refeeding in Golden rainbow trout were studied at different days under(16±2)℃.The control fish group was fed continuously and the four test fish group were experiencing 7 day deprivation and 44 day refeeding,14 days deprivation and 37 days refeeding,or 21 days deprivation and 30 days refeeding, respectively. The content of moisture and ash was higher while the content of crude lipid and glycogen was significantly lower than initial after starvation in the test groups, and the crude protein content had no difference. After being deprived of food for 7 days, the content of liver glycogen and muscle glycogen was significantly lower compared with that of initial and fed fish(P<0.01).After being deprived of food for 14 days, the moisture content was same as follows significantly lower than that of initial and fed fish(P<0.01) while the ash content was significantly lower than that of initial and fed fish(P<0.05),and the lipid content was very significantly lower than that of initial and fed fish(P<0.01).After being deprived of food for 21 days, the moisture content had significantly differences compared with that of initial and fed fish(P<0.05) and the liver glycogen and muscle glycogen content all raised with different degree but still had very significantly differences(P<0.01).After refeeding, all of indexes resumed to have no difference with those of fed fish except the liver glycogen content of S21.The result indicated that golden rainbow trout mobilized that from glycogen to lipid in turn. The fish stockpiled liver glycogen as priority.
