Using Mobile Phone to Access Medical Image Resources in Remote Computer——A Practical Modality for Medical Cloud Computing

Abstract:Mobile phone is playing an increasing role in people’s daily life.Although it develops rapidly,the mobile phone is still limited by a lot of technical factors and its data processing ability is still hard to compare with that of a PC.Such situation would restrict the wide potential applications of the mobile phone,particularly its wide implementations in healthcare.Aiming to tackle this newly emerging issue,the present paper investigated the technical approaches of using medical images based on mobile phone,especially focusing on medical image browsing,editing and transferring.A modality based on the concept of cloud computing to wirelessly transfer and display images and manipulate software is established,from which resources at the far end computer can be accessed and a series of operation can be performed remotely.Further,typical achieved results were demonstrated with deep analysis given.The method as developed in this paper is expected to find critical applications in future telemedicine.
