Abstract:Strain S1,S2 and S3 were isolated from acidic mine water.By 16S rRNA sequence analysis,S3 was identified as Thiobacillus ferrooxidans.To evaluate the influence of initial ferrous iron concentration and initial pH,orthogonal test was designed.By monitoring pH,Eh,ferrous iron concentration and total iron concentration and calculating ferrous iron oxidation rate,the influence of initial ferrous iron concentration and initial pH on the growth of T.f S3 was investigated.
