Abstract:Construction cost control is a complex system engineering. The traditional controlling method cannot dynamically control in advance the construction cost because of its hysteresis. This paper proposes a computer simulation based construction cost integrated control method, which combines the cost with PERT systematically, so that the construction cost can be predicted and optimized systematically and effectively. The new method overcomes the hysteresis of the traditional systems, and is a distinct improvement over them in effect and practicality.

Abstract:Abstract In the daily process of construction projects, project cost is a very critical part of the work. In order to effectively save costs and control the quality, it is necessary to conduct dynamic cost management according to the various construction links, and then formulate corresponding dynamic control measures for the project cost according to the actual situation. This article first analyzes the concept of dynamic management of project cost and control, and then briefly describes the dynamic control process and measures. Abstract:Analysis of the effect to costing was conducive to identify relationship and key factors among the factors of the effect to costing, it was helpful to find the effective method for costing control too, and it is beneficial to explore the potential on cost savings. Firstly, through research upon the reasons of overspend on labor cost, material cost and machinery cost, the key factors that influenced costing were discovered by Fishbone Diagram. Secondly, based on optimization and coordination about planning, approaches to costing control and management were obtained through studying on the key factors that included labor cost control, material procurement planning, price volatility, machine idle and site management fees, etc. It achieved considerable economic benefit.

Abstract:From the perspective of real estate enterprise construction units, this paper will analyze the cost management problems in the construction process, and propose corresponding measures and improvement methods. Through the analysis of the situation of the project, a dynamic cost control system that matches it is established. Through the establishment of a dynamic cost control system, the cost deviation in the construction process can be remedied in a timely manner to ensure that the actual construction cost does not deviate from the target cost. At the same time, the cost analysis of the engineering and technical solutions provided by the project should be carried out, and the basic labor, materials, machinery costs and measure costs in the construction cost should be controlled under the premise of ensuring construction quality and safety. This article focuses on achieving target costs, starting with project cost containment solutions and safeguards, respectively. The purpose of the research is to establish a dynamic cost control system that can establish real estate enterprises in the construction process, and when applied to the actual construction process, provide a relatively scientific and effective theoretical basis for real estate enterprises, so as to continuously accumulate mature cost control management experience.

Abstract:Despite the availability of various control techniques and project control software many construction projects still do not achieve their cost and time objectives. Research in this area so far has mainly been devoted to identifying causes of cost and time overruns. There is limited research geared towards studying factors inhibiting the ability of practitioners to effectively control their projects. To fill this gap, a survey was conducted on 250 construction project organizations in the UK, which was followed by face‐to‐face interviews with experienced practitioners from 15 of these organizations. The common factors that inhibit both time and cost control during construction projects were first identified. Subsequently 90 mitigating measures have been developed for the top five leading inhibiting factors—design changes, risks/uncertainties, inaccurate evaluation of project time/duration, complexities and non‐performance of subcontractors were recommended. These mitigating measures were classified as: preventive, predictive, corrective and organizational measures. They can be used as a checklist of good practice and help project managers to improve the effectiveness of control of their projects.

Abstract:In recent years, the scale of China’s construction industry has been expanding, and construction companies have gradually revealed some problems. Among them, cost management issues are more prominent, especially the management of hidden costs. Because of its strong concealment, the structure is more complicated and difficult to quantify. As a result, a complete research system has not yet been formed. This paper analyzes the influencing factors of construction engineering project in construction stage of the four levels of technology, management, contract and society, uses the expert scoring method to determine the main influencing factors, and proposes the main influencing factors.
