Abstract:The alfalfa cultivation is limited in the acid soil areas because of it high sensitive to aluminum toxicity.The effective solution is to breed the acid tolerant cultivars in order to grow in the acid soil areas(40% of total arable land over the world).The research progress on aluminum tolerance locus,transgenic plant tolerance and proteins relative to the aluminum tolerance were reviewed in this paper.
