Properties of antibacterial hollow fine denier polyester staple fiber

Abstract:The morphology and properties of antibacterial hollow fine denier polyester staple fiber were analyzed and compared with those of traditional polyester fiber,wool,cotton-type viscose fiber,bean fiber,bamboo fiber and milk fiber.The results showed that the antibacterial hollow fine denier polyester staple fiber had the lower dynamic and static friction coefficients of 0.278 and 0.167 respectively,higher loop strength 82.9%,initial modulus 98.5-125.9 cN/dtex,knot strength 88.5%,dry and wet breaking strength of 3.57 and 3.49 cN/dtex respectively and crimp number 5.72-6.49 per centimeter and favorable e- lectric conductivity and wet and air permeability.
