Abstract:Objective To observe the effects plasm radiofrequency at low temperature and microwave for treatment in patients with chronic hypertrophic rhinitis.Methods 54 patients underwent low-temperature plasma radiofrequency(group A),and fourty patients were treated by microwave(group B).MTR and VAS were assessed before treatment,after treatment and 6 months after treatment,and nasal cavity matter were observed at 6 months under endoscope.Results The difference between group A and group B in MTR and VAS before treatment was not statistically significant(P>0.05).The difference of MTRs between the pre-and post-treatment in group A was not statistically significant(P>0.05).The difference of MTR and VAS between the pre-and post-treatment group B were statistically significant(P<0.01).The difference between group A and group B in MTR and VAS at 6 months after treatment were statistically significant(P<0.01).After 6 months,the effective rate in group A was 94.4%,the effective rate in group B was 80.0%.The difference of effective rate were statistically significant between two groups(P<0.05).Conclusion Low-temperature plasma radiofrequency has obviously effects in patients with chronic hypertrophic rhinitis,and has no obviously effect to nasal mucosa and sustain normal physical function of nose utmostly.
