Abstract:Objective To investigate the relationship among romantic partner attachment,social conflict and depression.Methods Correlation analysis and regression analysis were applied to the data collected by Experiences in Close Relationships(ECR),Conflict Measure(CM),and Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression Scale(CES-D).Result ①Attachment avoidance and attachment anxiety were two independent dimensions(r=0.05,P>0.05);②Attachment avoidance could not directly predict depression,neither through the conflict mediator(Beta= 0.11,P>0.05);③Conflict played a mediating role in the relationship between attachment anxiety and depression(△R2=0.04,P<0.01).Conclusion Attachment anxiety could directly predict depression,and indirectly predict depression with conflict as the mediator.
