Abstract:Abstract Media literacy education plays a vital role in college students’ ideological and political education in the new media era. The development and popularization of new media technology and the widespread use of the Internet and social media have significantly changed the way of acquiring, processing and disseminating information, and put forward new challenges and requirements for college students’ ideological and political education. In this context, an in-depth exploration of the effective way to integrate media literacy into college students’ ideological and political education can help enhance their media critical abilities and promote their overall development. This paper uses the three-dimensional media literacy curriculum model (visual culture, text analysis and individual competence) to design teaching strategies for integrating media literacy into civic and political education. Through a questionnaire survey of 2,000 college students and teachers, students’ media literacy scores increased from an average of 3.1159 to 3.4159 after applying the teaching strategy, with the most noticeable improvement in media awareness and comprehension, and Analysis and critical thinking. The study demonstrated a significant improvement in the ability of college students to analyze and evaluate online information by incorporating media literacy. Strengthening media literacy education, primarily through integrating the three-dimensional media literacy model of visual culture, text analysis and individual competence, can effectively enhance the media literacy of college students and provide necessary support for their healthy growth in the information society.

Abstract:In the context of new media, the impact of media literacy on college students' learning effectiveness has been widely noticed, but there are still many shortcomings. This paper analyzes the current situation of college students' media literacy. It is concluded that they have a high degree of mediatization and a strong ability to use media, and there is a certain degree of critical thinking. However, at the same time, there are problems such as low ability to think rationally about media information and irrational behavior caused by new media cognition. Given this, this paper puts forward the following suggestions: establish an effective education model, introduce policies to regulate media behavior, and strengthen media literacy education for teacher education students. In this way, the quality and ability of college students in media cognition and use can be enhanced. This is not only related to the development of individuals but also to the construction of a harmonious society.

Abstract:In today's era of information explosion, Wechat has become an inevitable way of emerging network communication, but also loved by more users. The use of Wechat is expanding, affecting people's lives imperceptibly. College students are the main users of Wechat. The influence of Wechat on College Students' behavior is particularly prominent. With the popularization of Wechat as a popular platform among college students, the independence of college life and learning is linked with the extensiveness of social platform. Abstract:Ideological and political education has always been playing an important role for the development of socialist ideological education in China, as well as the main means to grasp the social trends of thoughts and influence the construction of their social essential values. Based on the in-depth questionnaire and survey of 1000 college students, the author deeply believes that the college students' current reading habits, mainstream way of information acceptance and the external communication ways in China are characterized by networking, video personalization and some other new features. Nowadays, it is difficult to meet the college students' ideological and political education needs through the single way of traditional classroom education. In view of the changes of information acceptance and exchange of college students, this paper fully understands that the film & television media are strengthening and improving their ideological and political education, and puts forward the relationship between "film & television media literacy" and the innovation of ideological and political education of college students, which makes film and television media resources become new forms and highlights of ideological and political education of college students with positive energy and helps to improve the effect of ideological and political education on their moral education, ethics, art aesthetics and other aspects.

Abstract:In the age of social media, with the speed of in-depth media integration accelerating, social media is increasingly becoming an extension of college students’ lives, and media literacy education is becoming more and more important. However, the risk of polarization of public opinion in the social media era is a new situation and a new challenge for college students’ media literacy education at present. The phenomenon of public opinion polarization in social media has a negative impact on college students with its prominent irrational emotions, diversified views and frequent occurrence of cyber violence, which also makes college students face many difficulties in media literacy education. In order to address the potential seams of public opinion polarization, college students’ media education should start from the following points: establishing a scientific teaching system, improving college students’ ability to participate in and apply the media, and organizing diversified self-education for college students.

Abstract:. At present, media integration has gradually penetrated into the entire process and all aspects of college education with its strong information dissemination ability and rich interactive experience. It not only brings new opportunities for the ideological and political education and teaching of colleges and universities, but also faces a severe test. In this regard, this article first analyzes the background of the construction of ideological and political education teaching platforms in colleges and universities in the media integration environment, pointed out the challenges facing the current education and teaching, and proposed targeted construction strategies. By implementing these strategies, we expect to build a platform for ideological and political education teaching platforms that meet the needs of the times and are full of innovative vitality, thereby improving the effectiveness of teaching and enhancing students' ideological and political literacy. Abstract:In the context of the "post-truth" age, fake news and news reversal will appear from time to time on the Internet, highlighting the uncertainty of the spread of truth as well as the spread of rumors, which have a negative impact on online public opinion. Therefore, the ability to explore the truth, exactly the core of media literacy, turns to be important now. In this paper it is found that the formation mechanism of the "post-truth" age in China lies in the interaction between the "post-modern" social characteristics and the characteristics of cyberspace. In order to deal with various existing problems that Chinese college students present in the cyberspace, it is suggested to build the media literacy training system of Chinese college students from three levels: the media literacy training system of Chinese college students should be constructed from the knowledge dimension; the six major media literacy abilities of college students should be cultivated from the skill dimension; and the media culture communication platform in campus should be built from the comprehensive dimension to build the media literacy training system of Chinese college students.

Abstract:The integrated media in teaching and political courses in colleges and universities is investigated in this study and an efficient evaluation model of quality is developed to address the challenges of media integration. Advantages and disadvantages of media integration within an educational context are identified by analyzing daily newspapers. The benefits of integrating and sharing resources between colleges and universities are highlighted, and the need for developing new education to facilitate these efforts is acknowledged. A direct value method using EM-AGA-B model entropy method is proposed as an efficient evaluation of education quality. This study contributes to the literature by a feasible plan to improve teaching quality and emphasizes the importance of media integration in education.

Abstract:Media literacy amongst the younger generations and the role of schools faced with the spread of new youth practices are topics of increasing interest. The sample of the study included 534 students aged from 12 to 17. On the basis of media literacy framework, this study first describes the current situation of media literacy and then explores the factors that affect the core ability of media literacy among youth students. The results of this study show that the majority of the students had relatively low media literacy and gender, area, diversification of media use, frequency of media use and media education has obviously positive correlation with media literacy. Although 80% of students think that they need media education, their primary interest is to improve their technical skills. We also found that the underlying factor structure of the students' responses matched the conceptual model (technological dimension, cognitive dimension and ethical dimension), lending content validity to the scale. Based on these findings, the researchers made a number of recommendations.

Abstract:This comparative study delves into the intricate dynamics of new media's influence on political awareness, attitudes, and behaviors among university students in China and Malaysia. It examines how various factors, including media literacy and peer influence, moderate and mediate the relationship between new media consumption habits and political education outcomes. Through a mixed-methods approach, data were collected from Chinese and Malaysian university students, exploring their engagement with different types of new media platforms, content delivery methods, frequency of exposure, perceived credibility of sources, and the influence of peer networks. The study identifies significant challenges and opportunities posed by the evolving digital landscape in both countries, addressing issues such as misinformation, echo chambers, commercialization, digital divide, and disparities in access. Findings reveal nuanced differences in the impact of new media on political education between the two cultural contexts, highlighting the importance of context-specific interventions and educational strategies.
