Abstract:Reciprocal circuits are important content in circuit teaching.This paper has discussed three additional properties of reciprocal circuits through the relationships of elements of parameter matrix.General proof of the conclusion is given.Independence of the properties of reciprocal circuits is analyzed.The discussion is helpful for the teaching of circuit.

Abstract:Reciprocal circuits are important content in circuit teaching.This paper has discussed the symmerty of loop matrix and node matrix of reciprocal circuits.It has concluded that if the loop matrix and node matrix of a circuit without independent sources are symmetrical,the circuit must be reciprocal,but the reverse is not true.General proof of the conclusion is given.The discussion is helpful for the teaching of circuit.

Abstract:Reciprocal circuits and interconnection of two-port circuits are important content in circuit course teaching. This paper has discussed the reciprocity of interconnected circuit of reciprocal two-port circuits. General conclusion and its proof are given. The interconnected circuit is reciprocal if the reciprocal two-port circuits still meet port property after interconnecting. Similar conclusion can be drawn for interconnection of symmetrical two-port circuits. The discussion is helpful for the teaching of circuit.

Abstract:There are circulating currents among the parallel inverters, including dc, fundamental and switching frequency circulating currents. Analysis and suppression methods currently proposed primarily focus on dc and fundamental circulating currents. However, the relationship between the switching frequency circulating current and circuit parameters has not been analyzed quantitatively so far. Based on the switching process of devices, a mathematical model of switching frequency circulating currents generated by asynchronous switching states is proposed in this paper. Moreover, the quantitative relationships between the switching frequency circulating current and the circuit parameters are investigated and analyzed in detail. Based on the analytical results, favorable design guidelines to restrain the switching frequency circulating currents are further presented. The experimental results perfectly validate the accuracy of the proposed mathematical model and the effectiveness of the design guidelines.

Abstract:Resonance and coupling are both key points of Electric Circuit course.They are always discussed independently in class.Many students are made confused when both of them appear together.In this paper,we analyze the problems and the causes of failure,and give another example to illustrate the method of solving such problems with phasor diagram.All of these discussions will help students to understand resonance with coupling inductance properly.It can also afford our teachers a salutary lesson in teaching knowledge points mixed together.

Abstract:Cubic and biquadratic reciprocity have long since been referred to as "the forgotten reciprocity laws", largely since they provide special conditions that are widely considered to be unnecessary in the study of number theory. In this exposition of finite fields and higher reciprocity, we will begin by introducing concepts in abstract algebra and elementary number theory. This will motivate our approach toward understanding the structure and then existence of finite fields, especially with a focus on understanding the multiplicative group $\mathbb{F}^{*}$. While surveying finite fields we will provide another proof of quadratic reciprocity. We will proceed to investigate properties of the general multiplicative character, covering the concept of a general Gauss sum as well as basic notions of the Jacobi sum. From there we will begin laying the foundations for the cubic reciprocity law, beginning with a classification of the primes and units of the Eisenstein integers, denoted $\mathbb{Z}[\omega]$, and further investigations into the residue class ring $\mathbb{Z}[\omega]/\pi\mathbb{Z}[\omega]$ for $\pi$ prime, which is predominantly the world in which cubic reciprocity lies. We then define the cubic residue character and state the full law of cubic reciprocity. We will finish the section on cubic reciprocity with a brief survey of the cubic residue character of the even prime $2$ and state a significant result due to Gauss that summarizes the conditions for $2$ to be a cubic residue. We conclude with a brief survey of the law of biquadratic reciprocity.

Abstract:Starting by ntroducing four common definitions on reciprocal two-ports,this paper provides the essential consideration on the word reciprocal and thus deduces the definition based on the port variables.Then this definition is proved to be equivalent to the definition based on the two-port parameters.The definition of the reciprocal element has then been given.The author also introduces that the reciprocal theorem is actually the simple statement that two-ports constituted by reciprocal elements are reciprocal and points out that it is only the sufficient condition for reciprocal two-ports.The relationship between reciprocal two-ports and passive two-ports has also been discussed.

Abstract:The multi-port reciprocity theorem is one of the important research contents for a linear network.Based on the concept of the reaction in electromagnetic field theory,the physical insight of the reciprocity is addressed deliberately and the premise of the reciprocity theorem in electromagnetic field theory is summarized to emphasize the nature of the reciprocity.The apparently consequential result is the multi-port reciprocity theorem in accordance with the relationship between the circuit and the electromagnetic field theory.From the physical picture of the reciprocity,the passivity of the network under study is definitely the sufficient condition to make the reciprocity theorem valid.For the active network,either the dependent or the independent sources inside the network,there is no theoretical foundation to justify the reciprocity theorem in the viewpoint of the reaction principle.

Abstract:Substitution theorem is a fundamental theorem in Circuit course.It gives theoretical basis for other circuit theorems and can be applied to analyze circuits.This paper has discussed establishment condition of the theorem which is described as uniqueness of circuit solution in textbooks.It concludes that uniqueness of circuit solution is a sufficient condition but not a necessary condition for application of substitution theorem.Application of the theorem on circuits which have non-unique solutions is also discussed.

Abstract:This paper, makes a research on relations between the cyclotomic classes, Gaussian periods and rcirculant matrices, and create a correspondence between Gaussian periods and rcirculant matrices. It paraphrases Gaussian periods with a series of special rcirculant matrices Hk, and shows that they have some similar properties, such as the linear property of multiplication etc. Furthermore, It researches Gaussian periods polynomials of Hk and their inverse symmetry property and obtains that all Hk have the same characteristics and the same eigenvalues which are independent of the choice of k amd r; and find the sufficient and necessary condition of Hk's having the inverse symmetry property. All these results are all meaningful.

Abstract:The relationship between resonant control and repetitive control is investigated in this paper. Resonant control and repetitive control are compared by using them to an active power filter (APF). The stability and design of parameter with the two control methods in APF system are analyzed, and the steady-state error and transient response are also analyzed for them. The theory is verified by experiment.

Abstract:In this paper a tutorial introduction to bifuration theory and the applicability of this theory to study SSR phenomenon in power system are explored. The continuation and bifurcation software AUTO97 is applied to investigate the SSR in a Single-Machine-Infinite- Busbar power system with series capacitor compensation. The results show that the mechanism of SSR is the result of unstable limit cycle after bifurcation. When the system exhibits SSR, some complex period orbit bifurcations, such as torus bifurcation and period fold bifurcation, maybe happen with the variation of limit cycle. The time-domain simulation results validate the effectiveness of bifurcation analysis.

Abstract:This paper presents a extension of traditional circuit theory in analogy to the resolution of forces. In mechanics, for solving various problems we use the composition of force and also the resolution of a force as well, the latter being the inverse operation of the former. In electricity, we indeed use only the connection of resistances in series and in parallel. In this article, it is intended to related the inverse operation of resistances in series and in parallel—the method of resolution and its simple applications. In solving some of the circuit problems it may be found convenient and adoptable even if the circuit includes inductance and capacity.

These conclusions expand equivalent transforms of T and Π circuits without independent sources. Examples are shown to prove the correctness of the deduced conclusions.
