Abstract:Nitrous oxide can be produced by nitrification and denitrification in agricultural soil. The processes of nitrous oxide producion and emissions are complex under different soil conditions. Physical factors including water content, temperature, oxygen concentration, soil structure, texture, and pH, nitrogen fertilizer and other factors can afleet nitrous oxide producation and emission. (Describing different mechanisms between dry land and paddy field for estimating N2O emissions is benefit for controlling nitrous oxide emission from agricultural soil. ) The contributions of nitrous oxide emissions from nitrification and denitrification is differentiated from ~(15) N labelling method and the technique of different acetylene inhibition.
Research on the Effects of Macromolecule Compound Materials on Release Characteristics of Different Forms of Nitrogen Nutrients

Abstract:[Objective]The research aimed to provide reference for the exploitation of new fertilizer.[Method]To control the penetration lose of fertilizer nutrition,a macromolecule compound material was mixed into ordinary fertilizer pro rat.By eluviation experiment,the release characteristics of different forms of N nutrient of the new fertilizer and the ordinary fertilizer were studied in the medium of sand.[Result]N-nutrient of the new fertilizer released slowly and steadily.Compared with ordinary fertilizer,the macromolecule compound material could reduce the loss of ammonium-N by 40%,the loss of saltpeter-N by 50%,the loss of urea-N by 23%,loss of total-N of the compound fertilizer by 50%.The release of the fertilizer could be described quantitatively by three equations: linear equation y=a+bt,parabola equation y=a+bt+ct2 and the first-order kinetica equation y=a(1-e-kt).And the imitation of the first-order kinetics equation was the best,the parabola equation took second place.[Conclusion]The penetration lose of fertilizer nutrition can be controlled by mixing macromolecule compound fertilizer pro rata.

Abstract:Structure of fertilizers is an important factor which can impact N leaching losses. When nitrogen ferilizer is put into soil, the loss way is maily ammonia volatility and anti-nitrify loss.But underground water pollution which was caused by ammonia leekage shouldn't be neglected.This paper summarizes the research about three different structures of fertilizers-only inorganic nitrogen fertilizer, inorganic fertilizer mixed, organic fertilizer and inorganic fertilizer mixed-on the leaching losses of nitrogen in red rice soil, and presents the measures for avoiding N leaching losses.

Abstract:Ammonium nitrate is the most common and useful nitrogen fertilizer globally, and its demand has decreased significantly due to its fire and explosion hazard. For the agricultural industry, compound fertilizers are most preferable. So, optimized technology’s development is an urgent task. This study aimed to develop NP-fertilizers technology based on the solution mixture of the evaporation’s first stage of the current production of ammonium nitrate and ground phosphate rock to obtain the target product with improved consumer and agrochemical properties. It was established optimal operating parameters of the technology for specific consumption of ammonium nitrate and ground phosphate rock. The results showed the ratio regulation of nutrient elements N/P2O5 in fertilizer formulations as 23/5%; 21/6%; 19/7%; 13/10%, and 11/11%. The method of rotatable planning-Box-Hunter second-order modeling was used to achieve the data. The independent variables’ influence – specific consumption of ammonium nitrate and ground phosphate rock on the nutrients’ content in the target products were determined. It has been established that two opposite processes accompany their change, that is, it increases by an increase in the specific consumption of ammonium nitrate with a simultaneous decrease in the specific consumption of ground phosphate rock, and vice versa; and it decreases with a decrease in the specific consumption of ammonium nitrate with a simultaneous increase in the particular consumption of ground phosphate rock in the initial mixture. An adequate regression equation was found for the independent variables’ influence on the nutrients’ ratios in products. It was shown that, with corresponding changes in the initial mixture from 0.36 t to 0.67t and 0.54t to 0.29t in the products, the N/ P2O5 ratios increased from 2.51 to 4.68. Moreover, it is possible to obtain a whole set of NP-fertilizers with improved agrochemical and consumer properties, with a total NP content of 25% to 28% in their composition. monium nitrate, ground phosphate rock, nutrients, nitrogen, phosphorus pentoxide

Abstract:Chinese nitrogen fertilizer has the large amount of usage and low rate of agronomic utilization rate,so the large amount of nitrogen fertilizer loss threaten the entironment.A novel fertilizer,the lose-control fertilizer,gives attention to the agricultural production and environment protection,having the role of cutting cost,synergism,decrement and discharge reduction.Six areas were chosen from the twelve demonstration areas of making the field combination text and demonstration in 2007 to study the nitrogen fertilizer's agricultural utilization rate of lose-control fertilizer.The result shows: the lose-control fertilizer's nitrogen fertilizer's agriculture utilization rate increases29.46-217% compared with habitual fertilization.Compared with the common urea,lose-control urea's nitrogen agriculture utilization rate increases 6.13-43.81%.The lose-control fertilizer improves the nitrogen agricultural utilization rate and has the prospect of extension in the agricultural production.

Abstract:Techniques of compound fertilizer production from solid waste compost were studied. Different ratio of water moisture, proportion between organic and inorganic and infection of different granularity to the effect of granulation is separately determined through experiments at the pilot scale in the field. The optimal parameters of the techniques are determined. The moisture content is 35%-40%; the rate of organic matter is 80%-90%; granularity is 20 mu. According the data of the organism's concentration, height and weight in crop, the crop was fertilized compound fertilizer is batter than chemical fertilizer. And the ability of increasing the production of the compound fertilizer was testified.

Abstract:The application of struvite precipitation is not widespread for high cost. To reduce the cost, stnivite can be used as slow-release fertilizer. However, struvite is not suit for using as basic fertilizer for low nitrogen content. Therefore, a new inorganic-organic adjuvant fertilizer was prepared. struvite was used as wrapper, and organic fertilizer as core. The results showed that the cumulative release rate, the primary dissolution rate and the differential dissolution of phosphorus and nitrogen have a similar upward trend with the increase of the weight rate of stnivite. When the weight rate of struvite and the organic fertilizer was 3:1, the cumulative release rate of phosphorus and nitrogen were 37.444%, 15.224%, respectively. The release amount of phosphate, TP and nitrogen at the weight rate of struvite:organic fertilize 2:1 were 5 mg/L, 8mg/L and 3 mg/L, respectively. The results of isotope tracer technique showed that the value of d(15)N(14)N in vegetables root is reached to 160.8. It can be proved that nitrogen from struvite were ingested by vegetables, and most of which were ingested by vegetables roots.
Response of the Flue-cured Tobacco Growth and Development Characters,Yield and Quality to the Fertilizer Application Technology

Abstract:In order to explore the response of the flue-cured tobacco growth and development characters (G & Ds),yield and quality to the fertilization technology,a comparative study of the response difference of the flue-cured tobacco G & Ds,yield and quality on three fertilizer application types of bio-organic fertilizer,green fertilizer and chemical fertilizer was carried.The result was showed that the treatment of bio-organic and green fertilizer combined with chemical fertilizer increased root system volume,improved photosynthetic leaves areas and net photosynthetic rate (Pn),accelerated flue-cure tobacco G & Ds,reduced soil-borne diseases,increased the ratio of first-class tobacco leaves,improved flue-cure tobacco leaves quality,and increased yield and out-put value.The indexes such as economic character index (ECI),chemical components usability index (CCUI),the ratio of the first-class tobacco leaves,yield and out-put value of the treatment with bio-organic manure were 88.7,71.0,72.1,43.68％,2 436.5 kg · hm-2 and 64 079.9 yuan · hm-2 respectively,higher than the other two kinds of treatment.Next was the treatment of green fertilizer combined with chemical fertilizer,followed by that of pure chemical fertilizer.The yield and out-put value of the treatment with combined application of bio-organic fertilizer was significantly higher than that of the other treatments.Consequently,the response effect of bio-organic fertilizer on the flue-cured tobacco growth and development characters,yield and quality to the fertilization technology is the best,and then comes the response effect of the treatment of green fertilizer combined with chemical fertilizer and that of the pure chemical fertilizer comes last.The above results provide effective measures for organic fertilizer and green fertilizer utilization and a theoretical basis for promoting the flue-cured tobacco quality.

Abstract:Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Part E: Journal of Process Mechanical Engineering, Ahead of Print. Fertilizers play a very important role in ensuring the continuous increase in production and income of crop producers. However, in the production process of compound fertilizers, due to the lag and external interference in the production process of fertilizer ingredients, problems with yield and quality can arise. Therefore, the accuracy of ingredients plays a crucial role in the production of compound fertilizers. This article focuses on the complex production process of compound fertilizers, using a parallel weighing bin structure to design a batching control scheme. The upper computer provides a relatively good and intuitive human–machine interface. By using WinCC software, real-time communication between the programmable logic controller system and the remote computer system can be achieved through the online network, thereby achieving effective monitoring and unified management of the entire system process, and achieving precise control of material distribution. Through the analysis of software and hardware, as well as the setting of on-site equipment, the composition of composite fertilizers was analyzed, indicating that this method has good application prospects as a batching control scheme.

Abstract:The potential of both plasma and nanotechnology in producing slow-release fertilizer is immense. These technologies, when combined, may offer green and inexpensive nitrogen fertilizers, from rich renewable resources available in local areas. Together, these technologies may overcome some limitations of conventional synthetic fertilizers, which are currently expensive and associated with low nitrogen use efficiency and significant environmental concerns. This review explores the utilization of recent advances in plasma and nanotechnology, which can be leveraged to create new slow-release nitrogen fertilizers. It emphasizes their crucial role in addressing nitrogen depletion and improving crop production. Despite the lack of attempts to develop slow-release nanofertilizers from low-cost liquid nitrate generated by emission-free nonthermal plasma, the effectiveness of plasma nitrate matches that of conventional fertilizer for crop production. We propose a more efficient electrocatalytic conversion of plasma nitrate to ammonium salt, then coating it with plant-based cellulose nanoparticles to create a slow-release form. This set of processes would synchronize nutrient release with the dynamic N requirements of plants. Formulations using agro-based, low-cost cellulose nanomaterials could replace high-cost carrier hydrogels associated with low mechanical strength. This review also highlights the isolation of nanocellulose from various plant materials and its characterization in different formulations of slow-release nanoplasma N fertilizer. Additionally, we discuss mechanisms of N loss, slow-release, and retention in the soil that can contribute to the production and use of efficient, sustainable fertilizers to improve food security and, consequently, the health of our planet.

Abstract:Tomatoes, an essential crop in controlled environments, benefit significantly from the careful use of nitrogen fertilizers, which are crucial for improving both yield and nitrogen efficiency. Using a tomato pot experiment arranged in a facility greenhouse, five treatments were established as follows: a control excluding the application of nitrogen fertilizer (C), and applications of ammonium nitrogen and nitrate nitrogen with nitrogen mass ratios of 0:100 (A0N100), 25:75 (A25N75), 50:50 (A50N50), 75:25 (A75N25), and 100:0 (A100N0), to study the effects of different ratios of nitrogen mass on tomato yield, quality, nutrient accumulation, and nitrogen fertilizer utilization. The results showed that compared with C, the different ammonium–nitrate ratios significantly increased the yield, dry matter mass, N, P, and K accumulation, soluble solids, soluble sugars, and vitamin C content (Vc) of the tomatoes. Among all the treatments, A75N25 tomatoes had the highest dry matter accumulation, nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium accumulation in fruits, soluble sugar, and soluble solids content. The differences in tomato yield and nitrogen fertilizer utilization between A75N25 and A100N0 were insignificant but their values were significantly higher than those of the other treatments. A75N25 had the highest nitrogen fertilizer utilization rate, 42.1% to 82.3% higher than C, A25N75, and A50N50. Hence, an ammonium-to-nitrate nitrogen mass ratio of 75:25 optimized tomato yield and quality in a controlled environment while minimizing nutrient loss.

Abstract:Top spray granulation process is a common technique used widely in pharmaceutical, food and special chemical modification for fertilizer manufacturing. Nevertheless, there is still a lack of studies regarding to the description of controlled parameters with dynamic correlation in targeting to produce urea granules. Thus, this research was carried out to introduce the crucial applied process parameters using top spray technique for paddy urea fertilizer production.The acquisition process parameter readings were verified by obtained yield of urea granules (UG) which featured as an optimum particle diameter size from 2 mm to 6 mm with reasonable hardness (crush strength) in range 2.0 kg/granule to 4.0 kg/granule, these criteria were required as a slow - release mechanism during soil adsorption interaction in paddy field to reduce amount of fertilizer consumption. Three significant parameters have been selected namely as air inlet temperature, the viscosity of binder solution and rate of top spraying from starch liquid binder to generate greater UG size from wet granulation interaction with smooth coalescence and consolidation growth . The data classification was screened by One-Factor-at-a-Time (OFAT) 101 method and supported by 2 levels and 3 factors (2 3 ) of full factorial design for clear description to vindicate the critical parameter required during urea granulation using fluidized bed granulator corresponds to low energy consumption and economical process. The obtained parameter readings and findings of UG features were useful to be applied further for detail investigation on next stage regarding to agglomeration profile and mechanism using CCD camera and PDA monitoring devices.
Spatial heterogeneous granulation enhance soil nitrogen supply potential via regulating dissolved organic nitrogen

Abstract:Combined application of organic fertilizer (OF) and chemical nitrogen (N) fertilizer (CF) is a common fertilization practice, providing better N supply pattern for crop growth. However, few studies focused on the effect of granulation method of these two fertilizers on N supply to soil. To validate this effect, we mixed the CF (15N–(NH4)2SO4) into cow manure powders with maize straw powder at rate of 2% or 8% (dry weight), respectively, in two forms, homogeneous granulation (HG) and spatial heterogeneous granulation (SG), and applied them to soil to investigate their difference in N transformations during an 80–day incubation. Results showed that there were more NH4+, NO3− and microbial biomass N (MBN) in the SG granules and the surrounding soil, while more dissolved organic N (DON) in the HG granules and the corresponding soil after day 30. At day 80, compared to HG, SG released less CF–N into the surrounding soil, but primed more organic N into mineral N. Structural equation model (SEM) revealed that DON was the main form of N transported from fertilizer granules to the surrounding soil, and then drove the changes of soil microbial activity, which determined the amount and dynamic of mineral N in the surrounding soil. These results indicated that, in heterogeneous granulation, the spatial separation between OF and CF slow down, but more importantly enhanced up, the microbial transformation of CF in the granules. This demonstrated that the spatial heterogeneous granulation of OF and CF could change the pattern of N release from fertilizer to soil and offer a potential way to optimize N fertilizer management strategies in the future.
