Abstract:The purpose of this study is to provide a comprehensive investigation on perceived media credibility in China. In order to assess people's attitudes toward six media formats (television [TV], newspapers, radio, magazines, websites, and mobile devices), a series of surveys were conducted with a random sample of 5807 residents in 10 cities in China. Findings indicated that Chinese respondents perceived TV to be the most credible among all media and that TV was rated as more credible than newspapers. In addition, two official mouthpieces, China Central Television and the People's Daily, were both perceived to be highly credible. But readership in general was a nonfactor in terms of credibility. These findings challenged conventional thinking on media credibility. Implications and directions for future research are discussed.

Abstract:Based on the Yale Model of Persuasion, including source factors, message factors, receiver factors, and social influence factors, a research model of perceived credibility of online consumer was constructed by literature review and theory analysis, and was tested using an online questionnaire that was distributed to users of nine famous online review sites. Based on results of the study, several managerial advices and future research were proposed.

Abstract:In order to accurately obtain the credibility of social media information, improve the efficiency of credibility evaluation, and enhance the security of social media, this paper proposes a method for evaluating the credibility of social media information based on user perception. Starting from the three dimensions of subject credibility, source credibility, and content credibility, the information credibility evaluation dimensions are analyzed. According to the information credibility evaluation dimension, establish a social media information database and deal with spam in the database. Perform credit evaluation based on the results of various data analyses in the database, and extract meaningful keywords from social media information through feature selection algorithms to form keyword clusters. Finally, based on user perception theory, the credibility evaluation of social media information is realized. The experimental results show that the quantitative results of the method for evaluating the credibility of social media information are close to the actual situation, the evaluation results obtained are more accurate, and the evaluation time is short, which can provide a theoretical basis for supervision and management.

Abstract:Using Weblog files and an online survey on Sina Weibo (N = 754), this article (1) empirically examined Chinese social media credibility in validated indexes; (2) compared the credibility of 12 types of media, which yielded three genres: traditional media, Web 1.0, and social media; and (3) explored the predictors of social media credibility. Results indicated SW users rate social media moderately high, especially on its fairness and unbiasedness, rather than accuracy. Comparatively, they trust traditional media most (especially newspaper) and social media least (especially SNS), although social media are more popular and rated fairly credible alone. Users' frequency of traditional media use and social media use, information-seeking motivation, and innovativeness has a positive impact on social media credibility. Reversely, users' join date, participation, trust inclination, education, and age negatively influence social media credibility.

Abstract:With the popularity of internet, electronic word of mouth (eWOM) has become a major information source for consumers' purchase behavior. The influence of eWOM depends on its credibility. Therefore, it is very important to research on the credibility of eWOM. By empirical research, it's found that the site trustworthiness, the sender's expertise and the receiver's disposition to trust have positive effect on the credibility of eWOM, which then has positive effect on consumer's purchase decision. Implications for research and practice are further studied.

Abstract:This study aims to assess gaming live streamers’ credibility and its effect on their customers’ attitudes and behaviors, with a focus on understanding the underlying mechanisms and dynamics involved in this relationship. To accomplish this objective, a theoretical framework was developed and validated. Drawing upon source credibility theory, the research examined a sample of 406 gaming livestreaming customers from China and Portugal. The PLS-SEM results indicate that live streamers’ credibility positively affects customers’ attitudes and behaviors (e.g. loyalty, positive brand attitude, and purchase intention) by mediating the parasocial relationship, wishful identification, and emotional attachment. The findings from this study provide valuable insights that can be used to improve gaming businesses and foster positive attitudes and behaviors among livestreaming customers.

Abstract:Simulation credibility is a major hotspot research of modeling and simulation in recent years. In this paper,the research status on simulation credibility all over the world is introduced firstly,the credibility assessing concepts system is discussed. The Impact of Brand Credibility and Brand Personality on Purchase Intention: an Empirical Study in China

Abstract:This study aims to investigate the relationships among corporate-brand credibility, product-brand personality, and purchase intention, specifically in China's auto industry. A large-scale survey was conducted in four major Chinese Mainland cities: Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Chengdu. A total of 800 questionnaires were distributed for the study. Ultimately, 477 usable cases were collected for a 60 percent response rate. Results reveal that corporate-brand credibility and product-brand personality have direct positive effects on purchase intention. Furthermore, corporate-brand credibility acts as a positive moderator in the relationship between product-brand personality and purchase intention. This chapter offers new theoretical insights into the influential factors affecting consumers' purchase intentions by testing the moderating effect of corporate-brand credibility in the relationship between product-brand personality and purchase intention. It further provides useful suggestions to companies on brand credibility and personality issues.

Abstract:Brand personality is an important content of research on long-term brand management;however,studies on the scales of China time-honored brand's(CTHB's) personalities and their relationships between consumer's attitude and behavior have still been blank.First,this paper generates the vocabularies that represent CTHB's personalities by the inductive method,develops the scales of CTHB's personalities through exploratory factor analysis,and interprets the dimensions as elegance,wisdom,morality,pureness and antiquity according to Chinese culture.Secondly,this paper proposes a structural model of the relationships between the perception of CTHB's personality and consumer's brand identification and loyalty.On the basis of empirical analysis,the results identify their relationships.Finally,this study concludes with some strategies and proposes some future research.

Abstract:ABSTRACT This study investigates the impact of brand credibility, composed of trustworthiness, expertise, and attractiveness, on consumers' brand purchase intention in emerging economies, focusing specifically on China's automobile industry. We propose that brand awareness and brand image play a moderating role in this relationship. Results reveal that brand credibility exerts a positive influence on consumers' brand purchase intention. Brand image and brand awareness are found to positively moderate the relationship between brand credibility and consumers' brand purchase intention. Implications concerning both research and managerial practices are offered. Abstract:The commodity reviews information plays an increasingly important role in consumers' buying decisions, and the credibility in-fluencing factors of reviews information gradually become noticeable. According to the text content, the text length, the emotional tenden-cy, the timeliness, the publisher and the business activities of reviews information, we make an empirical analysis on the credibility influ-encing factors of commodity reviews information in the consumption group of college students based on a questionnaire survey. The results show that the factors such as the detailed product description information, the impersonal emotional tendency, the clarity of the publisher's identity, the timeliness, other readers' identification degree and so on, will have a positive impact on the credibility of the reviews infor-mation.
Factors Influencing the Perception of Seller Credibility in Online Reputation System: an Eye-Movement Approach.

Abstract:The current online reputation systems for online sellers face great challenges from bad-faith behavior such as malicious negative reviews, click farming, mismatch between images and commodities, and forged commodities. To optimize the design of online reputation systems, explore the consumer utilization of credit clues, and describe the law of mutual trust, this paper puts forth three hypotheses about the influencing factors of consumer perception of online seller credibility and integrates various research methods such as an eye-movement experiment, questionnaire survey, econometric analysis, and empirical research. To evaluate the three hypotheses, the display modes of commodities on a current e-commerce platform were optimized, and eye-movement experiments were conducted on original and optimized webpages. Results show that the display of sales growth, the refinement and tagging of review content significantly impacted consumer perception of seller credibility. Further, designers of online reputation systems were advised to display sales trends, provide personalized sales queries, and tag a variety of reviews for consumers to easily ascertain credible sellers. This advice helped curb bad-faith behavior.

Abstract:Web has become an important information source for most people.However,the information on the web is not always true and credible.How to help people quickly judge the credibility of information on the web was required.A new method based on content trust was proposed in this paper,which aim to evaluate the credibility of web information.Firstly,the method utilized the conditional random field model to get the theme of web information content,which can be used to a clue to collect the candidate evidence on the web.Secondly,the truthfulness of evidence can be evaluated by the characteristic of the concurrency and relevancy of the evidence and web information theme and other characteristic.Finally,the credibility value of web information was calculated.The experiment results show the method proposed in the credibility evaluation of web information content is reasonable and effective.
