Abstract:A synchronization control approach for unified chaotic system with uncertainties and time delay is presented using passive control theory. The stability of the synchronization error system is studied so that the unified chaotic system can be synchronized with uncertainties and channel time delay. Because the chaotic trajectory is limitary and the nonlinear function of the unified chaotic system satisfies Lipschitz condition, the error system transformed by synchronization error system can be globally asymptotically stabilized by state feedback, therefore it implements the synchronization control of unified chaotic system with uncertainties and time delay. Simulation results show that the adaptive passive synchronization scheme is efficient, and the generalized synchronization can also be realized.

Abstract:In this paper, synchronization of an uncertain dynamical network with time-varying delay is investigated by means of adaptive control schemes. Time delays and uncertainties exist universally in real-world complex networks. Especially, parameters of nodes in these complex networks are usually partially or completely uncertain. Considering the networks with unknown or partially known nodes, we design adaptive controllers for the corresponding complex dynamical networks, respectively. Several criteria guaranteeing synchronization of such systems are established by employing the Lyapunov stability theorem. Analytical and numerical results show that the proposed controllers have high robustness against parameter variations including network topologies, coupling structures, and strength. Abstract:Based on the stability theory of fractional order systems, an effective but theoretically rigorous nonlinear control method is proposed to synchronize the fractional order chaotic systems. Using this method, chaos synchronization between two identical fractional order unified systems is studied. Simulation results are shown to illustrate the effectiveness of this method.

Abstract:By the control method independent of system parameters, synchronization of two Chen chaotic systems with identical, but uncertain parameters is discussed in this article. Based on Lyapunov's theorem, an adaptive controller and the parameters estimate update law are derived to make the solution of the error dynamical equation converge at the point E(0, 0, 0) with a quick speed, that is, the states of two Chen chaotic systems can be asymptotically synchronized. Numerical simulations verify the effectiveness and the adaptivity to the variation of Chen system parameters.

Abstract:This paper deals with the synchronization of fractional order chaotic systems with uncertain parameters. An adaptive control law consisting of fractional order feedback and sliding mode control is proposed. The two fractional order chaotic systems can be synchronized and the uncertain parameters can be identified under the controller and the update rule proposed. Illustrative example and numerical simulation results are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the control method proposed.

Abstract:This paper presents some novel synchronization methods for two discrete-time chaotic systems with different time delays, which are transformed into two unified models. First, the H ∞ performance of the synchronization error dynamical system between the drive unified model and the response one is analyzed using the linear matrix inequality (LMI) approach. Second, the novel state feedback controllers are established to guarantee H ∞ performance for the overall system. The parameters of these controllers are determined by solving the eigenvalue problem (EVP). Most discrete-time chaotic systems with or without time delays can be converted into this unified model, and H ∞ synchronization controllers are designed in a unified way. The effectiveness of the proposed design methods are demonstrated by three numerical examples.

Abstract:A novel adaptive synchronization method is proposed for two identical Rossler and Chen systems with uncertain parameters. Based on Lyapunov stability theory, we derive an adaptive controller without the knowledge of the system parameters, which can make the states of two identical Rossler and Chen systems globally asymptotically synchronized. Especially, when some unknown uncertain parameters are positive, we can make the controller more simple and, besides, the controller is independent of those positive uncertain parameters. All results are proved using a well-known Lyapunov stability theorem. Numerical simulations are given to validate the proposed synchronization approach.

Abstract:This paper deals with the finite-time chaos synchronization of the unified chaotic system with uncertain parameters. Based on the finite-time stability theory, a control law is proposed to realize finite-time chaos synchronization for the unified chaotic system with uncertain parameters. The controller is simple, robust and only part parameters are required to be bounded. Simulation results for the Lorenz, Lü and Chen chaotic systems are presented to validate the design and the analysis.

Abstract:Time delay and uncertainty are the two common phenomena in nonlinear systems, which seriously influence the control and synchronization of nonlinear systems. In this paper, an adaptive intermittent control strategy is proposed to realize the synchronization of time delay chaotic systems with uncertain and unknown parameters. For the uncertain and unknown parameters, some sufficient conditions for complete synchronization are derived based on the stability theory. In the part of numerical simulation, two cases of linear and non-linear delay are discussed, which both show the effectiveness of the theoretical results.

Abstract:Chaos synchronization in unified chaotic systems with uncertain parameters is discussed in this paper. On the basis of the control Lyapunov function (CLF), a feedback controller is designed which is only related to the boundaries of the uncertain parameters. Synchronization of two identical unified chaotic systems with different initial conditions is realized. Simulation results for Lorenz, Lü and Chen chaotic systems are provided to verify the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.

Abstract:This paper is concerned with the control of Duffing chaotic system with uncertainty. Based on the stability theory and adaptive control approach, for the system with unknown bounded disturbance, we design an adaptive controller, whose parameters are in general conditions. Then we define the concept of signal synchronization. Combining adaptive control approach with the concept of signal synchronization, we give theoretical proofs to show the input and output can be synchronous. Several simulation examples also show the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Abstract:The paper investigates the robust synchronization for two identical uncertain chaotic systems with different parameters perturbation and external disturbances. Based on Lyapunov stability theory, linear matrix inequality (LMI) techniques and adaptive techniques, a novel controller is proposed. With the resulting controller, global asymptotical synchronization between two identical uncertain chaotic systems is achieved. Abstract:The new chaos control method presented in this paper is useful for taking advantage of chaos. Based on sliding mode control theory, this paper provides a switching manifold controlling strategy of chaotic system, and also gives a kind of adaptive parameters estimated method to estimate the unknown systems' parameters by which chaotic dynamical system can be synchronized. Taking the Lorenz system as example, and with the help of this controlling strategy, we can synchronize chaotic systems with unknown parameters and different initial conditions.

Abstract:This paper studies the problem of chaos synchronization between two different hyperchaotic systems with uncertain parameters. Based on the Lyapunov stability theory, we obtain the sufficient condition of synchronization between two different hyperchaotic systems with uncertain parameters. A new adaptive controller with parameter update laws is designed to synchronize these chaotic systems. We proved it in theory with an uncertain hyperchaotic Lorenz system and an uncertain hyperchaotic Rössler system. Numerical results verified the validation of the proposed scheme.

Abstract:We consider the synchronization problem of a class of first-order differential-delay chaotic systems. We utilize time-delay fuzzy logic systems to approximate continuous nonlinear time-delay functions, so that the precise mathematical model need not be known. Adopting the adaptive fuzzy control method, we construct a class of state feedback controllers which can render the closed-loop error systems to be asymptotically stable. We carry out simulations of synchronizing Mackey-Glass and logistic chaotic systems, and the results are reasonable.

Abstract:<p>This paper focuses on an adaptive synchronization for a class of uncertain chaotic systems(CSs) with time delay. The chaotic systems are represented by Takagi-Sugeno(T-S)fuzzy model. In order to estimate the unknown parameters of the uncertain chaotic systems, we use advanced adaptive laws with smooth projection operator to solve it. In addition, we take the adaptive law as a part of Lyapunov function to make the chaotic systems stable. Different from the previous study of adaptive synchronization of uncertain chaotic systems, this paper fully considers the effect of time delay on uncertain chaotic systems. Finally, by constructing a suitable Lyapunov function (LKF)and using linear matrix inequality (LMI) theory, we can obtain the stability condition of closed-loop system. Furthermore, the simulation cases in this paper illustrate the robust performance of the error system is guaranteed under the uncertain dynamic equation modeling.</p>

No prior statistical information about uncertainty is required, except that its upper bound of the norm should satisfy some conditions.
