Study on Identification of Industrial Clusters of Energy Mineral Resource Based on Location Quotient——Case Study of Shaanxi

Abstract:There are plenty of coal,petroleum and natural gas in Shaanxi.On the basis of current situation of mineral resource industry,the paper points out that the mineral resource industry by location quotient method can identify industrial clusters in these regions.Through the analysis by location quotient method,it concludes that,a petroleum industrial cluster is developed to be in Yan'an,and it need to take efforts on electrical power,transportation,communication,and governmental support.At the same time,petroleum,natural gas,and coal industrial cluster have come into being in Yulin,whereas,equipment manufacturing,coal chemical engineering,transportation and communication,and enterprise networks have to develop to provide enough support to the industrial clusters.
