Abstract:Objective To uderstand the quality and the hygienic condition of finished water in rural waterworks of Zhejiang Province,and to provide the basis for improving the drinking water quality in rural areas.Methods An investigation with questionnaire on the drinking water purification plants was carried out in representative monitoring points.Samples of finished water from different waterworks with different purification processing modes and different sources were collected in wet and drought seasons.The water quality was analyzed and assessed according to the Hygienic Standards for Drinking water(GB 5749—2006).Results There were 37.82% rural waterworks with a complete main treatment process.The main source of water was surface water(80.14%).The qualification rates of composite index of finished water in wet and drought seasons were 93.25% and 91.53%,respectively.Conclusion The qualification rate of composite index in the finished water from rural waterworks is relatively low,which is related to imperfect of treatment process and irregular disinfection.
