Abstract:A new organic pickling corrosion inhibitor of N,N,N-triethylammonium O,O'-dicyclohexyl-dithiophosphate(NTOD) was prepared,and its inhibitive effect for Q235 steel was evaluated in 5% hydrochloric acid using weight loss measurement and electrochemical method.The results show that NTOD is a mixed type inhibitor and the inhibition effect is higher than 97% in 5% hydrochloric acid solution.The adsorption of NTOD on Q235 steel surface is consistent with Langmuir adsorption isotherm and belongs to chemisorption.The effects of temperature,acid concentration and placing time were also studied in this work.
