Abstract:In this paper,a disease transmission model of SEIRS type with pulse vaccination strategy is studied.We obtain the existence conditions with the global attractive of infectionfree periodic solution by the analysis of the equivalent system of the model,and give the existence of the persistent of the disease.

Abstract:The dynamical behavior of SEIRS epidemic model with generalized Logistic death and standard contact rate is investigated in this paper.Based on Floquet theory and comparison theorem of impulsive differential equation,the existence and globally asymptotical stability of infection free periodic solution are examined,then the critical value τ0,θ0 are obtained.Finally,numerical simulation reveals that the disease will become endemic when τ>τ0,θ<θ0.

Abstract:The aim of this study is to introduce an impulsive SEIQRS epidemic model with time delays,quarantine measure and nonlinear incidence rate.The total population size is varied.The global attractivity of an 'infection-free' periodic solution,the existence,and the permanence of an endemic periodic solution are investigated.We obtain a sufficient condition for the permanence of the epidemic model with pulse vaccination.We show that time delay, pulse vaccination can bring different effects on the dynamic behavior of the model by numerical analysis.Our results also show a smaller pulse vaccination rate or a shorter latent period of the disease or a shorter immunity period of the recovered could cause global attractive 'infectionfree' periodic solution to lose and epidemic disease to be permanent.The main feature of this study is to introduce three time delays,nonlinear incidence rates and impulses into the SEIQRS epidemic model and give pulse vaccination strategies.

Abstract:Pulse vaccination, the repeated application of vaccine over a defined age range, is gaining prominence as an effective strategy for the elimination of infectious diseases. An SIR epidemic model with pulse vaccination and distributed time delay is proposed in this paper. Using the discrete dynamical system determined by the stroboscopic map, we obtain the exact infection-free periodic solution of the impulsive epidemic system and prove that the infection-free periodic solution is globally attractive if the vaccination rate is larger enough. Moreover, we show that the disease is uniformly persistent if the vaccination rate is less than some critical value. The permanence of the model is investigated analytically. Our results indicate that a large pulse vaccination rate is sufficient for the eradication of the disease.

Abstract:In this paper, an SEIR epidemic disease model with time delay and nonlinear incidence rate is studied, and the dynamical behavior of the model under pulse vaccination is analyzed. Using a new modelling method, we obtain a sufficient condition for the permanence of the epidemic model with pulse vaccination. We show that time delay, pulse vaccination can bring different effects on the dynamic behavior of the model by numerical analysis. Our results also show the time delay is ''profitless''. The main feature of this paper is to introduce time delay and impulse into the SEIR epidemic model and to give pulse vaccination strategies.

Abstract:A delayed SEIRS epidemic model with pulse vaccination and saturation incidence rate is investigated. Using the discrete dynamical system determined by the stroboscopic map, we obtain the existence of the disease-free periodic solution and its exact expression. Further, using the comparison theorem, we establish the sufficient conditions of global attractivity of the disease-free periodic solution and the permanence of disease. Our results indicate that a long latent period of the disease or a proper pulse vaccination rate will lead to eradication of the disease.

Abstract:Differential susceptibility SIR epidemic models with time delay and pulse vaccination is studied in this paper.We show that there exists an infection-free periodic solution by using the comparison method,which is globally attractive provided that R1 ＜ 1,and that R2 ＞ 1 implies the disease is permanent,which means that after some period of time the disease will become endemic.

Abstract:Pulse vaccination is an effective strategy to restrain the spread of infectious diseases. This paper proposes a network-based SIR epidemic model incorporating a saturated force of infection and vertical transmission along with pulse vaccination strategy and continuous treatment plan. Dynamical behaviors of the model are analyzed in virtue of the theory for impulsive differential equations. We give the boundedness of solutions and derive the expression of basic reproduction number R0 . By the Floquet theorem and comparison principle, we show that the disease-free periodic solution is globally asymptotically stable when R0<1 . Moreover, a sufficient condition for the uniform permanence of the system is also obtained. Finally, numerical analyses are given to substantiate the theoretical results and a case for Rubella is studied.

Abstract:The aim of this paper is to analyze an SIRVS epidemic model in which pulse vaccination strategy (PVS) is included. We are interested in finding the basic reproductive number of the model which determine whether or not the disease dies out. The global attractivity of the disease-free periodic solution (DFPS for short) is obtained when the basic reproductive number is less than unity. The disease is permanent when the basic reproductive number is greater than unity, i.e., the epidemic will turn out to endemic. Our results indicate that the disease will go to extinction when the vaccination rate reaches some critical value.

Abstract:This study explores the influence of epidemics by numerical simulations and analytical techniques. Pulse vaccination is an effective strategy for the treatment of epidemics. Usually, an infectious disease is discovered after the latent period, H1N1 for instance. The vaccinees (susceptible individuals who have started the vaccination process) are different from both susceptible and recovered individuals. So we put forward a SVEIRS epidemic model with two time delays and nonlinear incidence rate, and analyze the dynamical behavior of the model under pulse vaccination. The global attractivity of ‘infection-free’ periodic solution and the existence, uniqueness, permanence of the endemic periodic solution are investigated. We obtain sufficient condition for the permanence of the epidemic model with pulse vaccination. The main feature of this study is to introduce two discrete time delays and impulse into SVEIRS epidemic model and to give pulse vaccination strategies.

Abstract:In this paper, a delayed SEIRS epidemic model with nonlinear incidence rate and impulsive vaccination is investigated. In vaccination strategy, we perform impulsive vaccination of newborn infants. Using the discrete dynamic system determined by stroboscopic map, we obtain an infection-free periodic solution and establish conditions, on which the solution is globally attractive. We also conclude that the disease is permanent if the parameters of the model satisfy appropriate conditions. Finally, we illustrate the effectiveness of our theorems with numerical simulation. The results obtained in this paper are a good extension of the results obtained in [J. Hou and Z. Teng, Continuous and impulsive vaccination of SEIR epidemic models with saturation incidence rate, Math. Comput. Simulat.79 (2009) 3038–3054] to the corresponding delayed SEIRS epidemic model with nonlinear incidence rate and impulsive vaccination.

Using this principle of pulsed optimization to analyse SEIR epidemic model with latent period. It can achieve the target of controlling infectious disease via optimization the number and time of vaccination susceptible populations. The results show that the method is effective and has potential applicable value.

Abstract:A delayed SEIRS epidemic model with pulse vaccination is investigated, Using Krasnoselskii's fixed-point theorem, the infection-free periodic solution is obtained. Some new threshold values R-1, R-2 and R-3 are obtained for dynamic behavior of the solutions. We point out, if R-1 < 1, the infectious Population disappear, i.e., the disease dies out, while if R-2 > 1 or R-3 > 1, the infectious permanent, the infectious population will ultimately remain above a positive level. An explicit formula is obtained by which the eventual lower bound of infectious individuals can be computed when R-2 > 1. Our results indicate that a large pulse vaccination rate will have some active effects to prevent or curtail the spread of the disease. Furthermore, we only proved the existence of R-3 based upon some abstract theories.

Abstract:A delayed SEIRS epidemic model with pulse vaccination and bilinear incidence rate is investigated. Using Krasnoselskii’s fixed-point theorem, we obtain the existence of disease-free periodic solution (DFPS for short) of the delayed impulsive epidemic system. Abstract:An SEI autonomous model with logistic growth rate and its corresponding nonautonomous model are investigated. For the autonomous case, we give the attractive regions of equilibria and perform some numerical simulations. Basic demographic reproduction numberRdis obtained. Moreover, only the basic reproduction numberR0cannot ensure the existence of the positive equilibrium, which needs additional conditionRd>R1. For the nonautonomous case, by introducing the basic reproduction number defined by the spectral radius, we study the uniform persistence and extinction of the disease. The results show that for the periodic system the basic reproduction number is more accurate than the average reproduction number.

Abstract:Pulse vaccination is an effective and important strategy for the elimination of infectious diseases. A delayed SEIRS epidemic model with pulse vaccination and varying total population size is proposed in this paper. We point out, if R* < 1, the infectious population disappear so the disease dies out, while if R (*;) > 1, the infectious population persist.
