Virology research and development of antiviral drugs

Abstract:People have achieved a lot during the long-term fight against the viruses.The course about how viruses enter human body cells and the pathogenesis of the viruses have been clarified.With the progress in virologic research,many antiviral treatment drugs have been developed and applied to the clinical practice.The important achievements have been made in the treatment of viral diseases such as AIDS,viral hepatitis,flu and herpes virus viral diseases.However,when we face with various viral diseases,the effective treatment measures are still very limited.It is the key point of strengthening virology study to deepen our understanding of the pathogenesis of the virus for development of the new antiviral treatment measures.This paper introduces the progress in study and treatment of the clinical common viruses,and emphasizes that the virology research plays an important role in the development of antiviral therapy.
