A Research Review on Industry Entry Timing

Abstract:The choice of entry timing is essential for the firms in implementing their market entry strategy.As a cross-field topic focused by many scholars,the study of entry timing has become more and more mature.Based on the review of prior literature,this article will clarify the development history of this stream of research as well as some main viewpoints.In order to make the theoretical discussion more practical,it starts with summarizing the effect mechanisms and influencing factors of entry order and then emphasize on the application research of the firms' decision making of entry timing and competitive strategies in the market entry.
