Abstract:Ship rocking with large amplitudes caused by waves could disable the gyroscopes from measuring the earth rotation rate correctly, and bring difficulty to the initial alignment of shipboard SINS. The paper proposes a new alignment scheme, in which the gravity message is used in the coarse alignment procedure, and an adaptive Kalman filter is used in the fine alignment procedure. In the coarse alignment procedure, the aircraft inertial frame i b0is built via the inertial freezing hypothesis, and hence the aircraft attitude matrix with respect to i b0can be calculated because the initial value of the matrix is an identity matrix. The aircraft attitude matrix with respect to the navigation frame is divided into four matrixes determinations, which respectively use the geographic position message of the carrier, the earth rotation message, the aircraft attitude updating message with respect to i b0 frame, and the transfer matrix from the inertial frame to i b0 frame. In the fine alignment procedure, the fuzzy adaptive Kalman filter is designed to estimate the misalignment angle accurately from the velocity measurements contaminated by the random rocking disturbances. Simulation results show that: 1)The coarse alignment guarantees the subsequent fine alignment. 2)Compared with the traditional Kalman filtering, the fuzzy adaptive Kalman filtering can effectively depress the random disturbances in the velocity measurements caused by the ship rocking.
