Abstract:This paper presents a simulation of the physiological evolution of human tumor by culturing the mice implanted with cancer cells. Using the far-infrared imaging system to monitor the development of tumor at initial and middle stages,a comprehensive record of the growth of breast cancer was obtained. Meanwhile, theoretical characterization was performed on the growth mechanism of the breast cancer cells. According to the experiments,at the initial stage after the mice were implanted with breast cancer cells, the tumor can not be observed from the skin surface of the mice. However, its existence can be easily detected by far-infrared imaging, which is sensitive in monitoring the tumor development in mice. That is why far-infrared imaging may be used for early diagnosis of breast cancer. Further, the theoretical simulation and the gathered experimental date show that, growth of the mice tumor cells follows an exponential trend.
