Study on Cultivating Mode of Biomedical Engineering Undergraduates and Practice in Science and Engineering Colleges

Abstract:This paper illustrates the cultivating mode and features of biomedical engineering undergraduates in science and engineering universities,the objectives,characteristics,and their respective advantages of different universities are introduced.According to the advantages in teaching resources,it's the important goal of cultivating talents who major in biomedical engineering in science and engineering universities to apply engineering methods to solve the problem in human life and health.On the one hand,it's vital to take the advantages of engineering in science and engineering universities;On the other hand,it's also very important to emphasize on interdisciplinary and wide-ranging,catch up with the development of this subject and social requirement,so as to cultivate composite professional scientific and technical talents with high-quality.To reflect features of biomedical engineering,almost all of universities adhere to the respective characteristics of subjects and directions.The research can drive teaching,while teaching may facilitate research..Based on the teaching practice in South China University of Technology,the reform of cultivating mode and curriculum system design are mainly discussed from several aspects: it behaves interdisciplinary characteristics,professional talents training is becoming more international,it tried to carry out the triage system and personalized training according to the students' characteristics,with particular emphasis on innovative,entrepreneurial and practical ability,strengthen the continuity of three stages including Bachelor,Master and Doctor,and effectively promote the reform of teaching methods and teaching means,and so on.
