Abstract:Modeling of many dynamic systems results in second-order delay differential systems. In this paper, we prove that two kinds of delay systems without impulses can be stabilized by proper impulsive control, respectively. Abstract:In this paper, we study stability of a class of stochastic differential delay equations with nonlinear impulsive effects. First, we establish the equivalent relation between the stability of this class of stochastic differential delay equations with impulsive effects and that of a corresponding stochastic differential delay equations without impulses. Then, some sufficient conditions ensuring various stabilities of the stochastic differential delay equations with impulsive effects are obtained. Finally, two examples are also discussed to illustrate the efficiency of the obtained results.

Abstract:We consider the stability and stabilization of impulsive stochastic delay differential equations (ISDDEs). Using the Lyapunov-Razumikhin method, we obtain the sufficient conditions to guarantee the pth moment exponential stability of ISDDEs. Then the almost sure exponential stability is considered and the sufficient conditions of the almost sure exponential stability are obtained. Moreover, the stabilization problem of ISDDEs is studied and the criterion on impulsive stabilization of ISDDEs is established. At last, examples are presented to illustrate the correctness of our results.

Abstract:The stabilization problem of delay systems is studied under the delay-dependent impulsive control. The main contributions of this technical note are that, for one thing, it shows that time delays in impulse term may contribute to the stabilization of delay systems, that is, a control strategy which does not work without delay feedback in impulse term can be activated to stabilize some unstable delay systems if there exist some time delay feedbacks; for another, it shows the robustness of impulsive control, that is, the designed control strategy admits the existence of some time delays in impulse term which may do harm to the stabilization. In this technical note, from impulsive control point of view we firstly propose an impulsive delay inequality. Then we apply it to the delay systems which may be originally unstable, and derive some delay-dependent impulsive control criteria to ensure the stabilization of the addressed systems. The effectiveness of the proposed strategy is evidenced by two illustrative examples.

Abstract:When an impulsive control is adopted for a stochastic delay difference system (SDDS), there are at least two situations that should be contemplated. If the SDDS is stable, then what kind of impulse can the original system tolerate to keep stable? If the SDDS is unstable, then what kind of impulsive strategy should be taken to make the system stable? Using the Lyapunov-Razumikhin technique, we establish criteria for the stability of impulsive stochastic delay difference equations and these criteria answer those questions. As for applications, we consider a kind of impulsive stochastic delay difference equation and present some corollaries to our main results.

Abstract:The exponential stability of impulsive delay difference equations is considered.Employing the Lyapunov function,Some conditions are obtained which guarantee the exponential stability of impulsive delay difference equations,that is the stability criteria for the impulsive delay difference equations.For linear impulsive delay difference equations,a concrete Lyapunov function is given.Then,by utilizing the foregoing result,a stability criterion for linear impulsive delay difference equations is offered.Finally,two numerical experiments illustrate the correctness of the results.

Abstract:This paper is concerned with the stability and impulsive stabilization of hybrid impulsive stochastic functional differential systems with delayed impulses. Using the Razumikhin techniques and Lyapunov functions, some sufficient conditions for the pth moment exponential stability of the systems under consideration are established. Based on the derived stability results, impulsive controllers are designed to stabilize a given unstable linear or nonlinear hybrid stochastic delayed differential system. Different from the existing stability and impulsive stabilization results in the literature, the results obtained in this paper shown that the delayed part of impulses can make a contribution to the stability of systems. Three examples are provided to present the effectiveness and advantages of the proposed results.

Abstract:Existence and stability of solutions are important parts in the qualitative study of delay differential equations. The stabilizing by imposing proper impulse controls are used in many areas of natural sciences and engineering. This article provides sufficient conditions for the existence and exponential stabilization of solutions to delay impulsive differential equations of second-order with multiple delays. The main tools in this article are the Schaefer fixed point theorem, fixed impulse effects, and Lyapunov-Krasovskii functionals. The outcomes extend earlier results in the literature. Abstract:This paper studies the stabilization of nonlinear time-delay systems under flexible delayed impulsive control. Some sufficient conditions are provided for establishing stability property in terms of exponential Lyapunov-Razumikhin functions. It is shown that the size of delay in continuous dynamics can be flexible. Specially, it can be smaller or larger than the impulsive intervals, and there is no magnitude relationship between the delay in continuous flow and impulsive delay. In most existing results, from the impulsive control point of view, the Lyapunov functions were based on the assumption that there was a common threshold at every impulse point. In this study, utilizing the proposed method of average impulsive estimation (AIE), the rate coefficients are flexible, and the impulsive delay can be integrated to guarantee the effect of stabilization of impulses. As an application, the theoretical results are applied to the synchronization of a chaotic neural network, and the impulsive control input is formalized in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). The efficiency of the derived results is illustrated by two numerical examples.

Abstract:A class of generalized impulsive stochastic functional differential systems with delayed impulses is considered. By employing piecewise continuous Lyapunov functions and the Razumikhin techniques, several criteria on the exponential stability and uniform stability in terms of two measures for the mentioned systems are obtained, which show that unstable stochastic functional differential systems may be stabilized by appropriate delayed impulses. Based on the stability results, delayed impulsive controllers which mean square exponentially stabilize linear stochastic delay systems are proposed. Finally, numerical examples are given to verify the effectiveness and advantages of our results.

Abstract:In this study, the authors investigate stability of stochastic differential delay systems under impulsive control. First, an impulsive control for a kind of linear stochastic differential delay system is constructed. Then, the authors point out that different kinds of stability of linear stochastic differential delay systems under impulsive control is equivalent respectively, to the stability of the corresponding linear stochastic differential delay systems without impulses. Finally, several stability criteria of a class of linear stochastic differential delay systems under impulsive control are presented. Moreover, an example is also discussed to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed results.

Abstract:In this paper, first, the concepts of mean-square uniformly asymptotic stabilization by impulses and by periodical impulses are proposed for general stochastic functional differential systems. Next, the sufficient criteria for mean-square uniformly asymptotic stabilization of the stochastic systems by periodical impulses are put forward by using Lyapunov functions and the asymptotic stability of a scalar linear impulsive delay differential system. Then, a specific design method of impulsive controllers is presented, in which the impulse functions are chosen as proportional functions, and the intervals of impulsive moment depend on system parameters and the selected proportional coefficients of impulse functions. Finally, a numerical example is presented to verify the effectiveness of the designed controllers.

Abstract:In this paper, we mainly study the almost sure exponential stability of impulsive stochastic differential delay equations (ISDDEs) with bounded variable delays. The main technique is to compare ISDDEs with corresponding impulsive stochastic differential equations (ISDEs) without delay, to obtain the upper bound τ∗ of delays that ISDDEs can maintain stability by accurate calculation. The results show that if the corresponding ISDEs are almost surely exponentially stable, then the ISDDEs are also almost surely exponentially stable as long as these delays are less than τ∗ . In addition, the stability theory established in this paper can be applied to noise stabilization based on sampled-data observations of a class of unstable impulsive systems. Taking impulsive Lurie systems (ILSs) as an example, we discuss the design of noise stabilization strategies.

Abstract:In this paper, we consider impulsive large-scale systems without delay and with delays. By establishing an exponential estimate for differential inequality, following the idea of vector Lyapunov's approach and employing the formula for the variation of parameters, we obtain the criteria on uniform stability, global asymptotical stability and global exponential stability of the impulsive large-scale systems. Based on the stability criteria, we propose the simple method to stabilize the large-scale systems by utilizing impulsive effects. Explicit steps on impulsive stabilization of the systems are presented. Examples and simulations are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the results.

Abstract:The main objective of this paper is to further investigate the exponential stability of a class of impulsive delay differential equations. Several new criteria for the exponential stability are analytically established based on Razumikhin techniques. Some sufficient conditions, under which a class of linear impulsive delay differential equations are exponentially stable, are also given. An Euler method is applied to this kind of equations and it is shown that the exponential stability is preserved by the numerical process.
