Investigation Study of Related Knowledge Cognition about Controls the Smoke and the Tobacco to the Public Place

Abstract:Objective:To investigate the understanding of people to policy of ban smoking in public places, as well as awareness of tobacco-related knowledge and attitudes.Methods:Taking the convenience sample strategy,we interviewed visitors on the famous Najing Road business street of Shanghai using the questionnaire developed by ourselves.Six hundred visitors were investigated,male was 346,female was 254. Results:85.5%of male and 14.5%of female residents were smokers.34.5%of all them know that smoking was seriously harmful on health;and the question's cognition proportion of the female(43.7%) was slightly higher than the male(27.7%).50.2%of non-smokers recogniztion was obviously higher than the smokers(17.6%).The support proportion of the non-smoker in the dining room,the bar,the coffee room,the scenic site and so on was higher than the smoker.36.5%of residents said that they have received the knowledge of smoking which harmful to our bodies.The smoking bans could affect the willing of go out(x~2=83.279,P0.01).Conclusion:Different groups of people in public places have the different attitude about the anti-smoking measures.The knowledge about passive smoking is harmful on health is low.The information of smoking is hazardous to health is obviously insufficient,to improve the work of the residents support tobacco control,Should step up publicity efforts in this area,enhance the awareness of population health and health level.
