Abstract:This paper reviews the development and the applications of remote sensing technology in land management and adopts the comprehensive analytic method and the approach of documentary description to explain the implication of applying remote sensing technology in land management. The result indicates that the remote sensing technology could meet the need of routine land management to some extent. The study concludes that modern remote sensing technology is used to provide technical support and industrialization services rapidly and accurately for land and resource management, which has increasingly gained obvious economic and social benefits, revealing the tremendous function of remote sensing technology in the management of land resources.

Abstract:The development of earth observation techniques has expanded and deepened the application area of remote sensing further. Meanwhile, the application on remote sensing for land resources has entered a new era marked by high spatial resolution, high spectral resolution and high temporal resolution. Nowadays, remote sensing techniques serve as an important support for the great discovery of geosciences and the modernization of geological work. The remote sensing satellites of our country develop to groups, networks and seriations; its application area develops to fine and quantitative direction; the recent researches both in basic field and application area develop to integration. In the following years, the need for remote sensing application will be more and more imminent. Abstract:To identify the land use change region and the change type is the main purpose of the change information obtainment.With the development of remote sensing, we can use high-resolution image and method that have developed to obtain land change information.There are basically two classifications for the methodology that have put forward, that is Post-classification Comparison Method and Pixel to Pixel Comparison Method or Pre-classification Change Detection Method.This paper gives an overall analysis of the techniques and methodology for obtaining land use change information, then, it studies the automatic classification and compares the accuracy of the result. Furthermore it studies the methodology for obtaining land use change information based on Remote Sensing and Geographic Information System, and analyzes the application of the high-resolution image.Finally the paper points out that the most urgent issue is to set up spectral knowledge base of the land surface objects and the expert knowledge base,mine information from GIS database or remote sensing data itself,and explore new analytical method of remote sensing image for the realization of fast,accurate and automatical classification and obtainment of land use change information using remote sensing image.

Abstract:Zhejiang province is playing an increasingly vital role in China's overall economic growth. Concomitant with the dramatic economic development, this region has been undergoing tremendous urban growth on an unprecedented scale and rate. Many urbanization-related problems have been identified, including agricultural land and wetland loss, water pollution and soil erosion. There is an urgent need to detect and monitor the land cover change and analyze the magnitude and pattern, accurately and timely for planning and management. Remote sensing is a powerful tool for monitoring rapid change in the landscape resulting from urban development. However, change detection capabilities are intrinsically limited by the spatial resolution of the digital imagery in urban. The application of multi-sensor data provides the potential to more accurately detect land-cover changes through integration of different features of sensor data. Taking Hangzhou city as case study, this paper presents a method that combines principal component analysis (PCA) of multi-sensor data (SPOT-5 XS and ETM Pan data) and a hybrid classification involving unsupervised and supervised classier to detect and analysis land cover change. The study demonstrates that this method provides a very useful way in monitoring rapid land cover change in urban environment.

Abstract:Since the 1980s, due to China's economic development, large tracts of forest trees have been felled, causing serious soil erosion and environmental pollution problems. But since the beginning of this century, China has started to convert farmland to forests and various vegetation restoration activities. The purpose of returning farmland to forest is to better protect the environment and prevent soil erosion. This paper introduces the use of remote sensing images to detect the implementation of the project of returning farmland to forest. Explain the method of sample selection and the steps of data collection. The plan on remote sensing monitoring of returning farmland to forest was introduced. At the same time, the help and continuous monitoring of remote sensing technology after returning farmland to forest was introduced. This article contains examples and analysis of scientists using GIS technology to assist in returning farmland to forests. Finally, it includes the prospect and expectation of GIS for the project of returning farmland to forest. And the future application of this technology in this project is prospected.

Abstract:Law enforcement and supervision of land resources are important components in the land resources management systems. Their current way of working is mainly manipulated by the traditional manual operation, which is not efficient in performance. With the launch of high-spatial-resolution remote sensing satellites, the application of details contained within these received images makes it possible to accurately and rapidly enforce the law and supervise the land resources with the adoption of remote sensing technology. Therefore, in order to analyze the actual requirements of the applications and the latest technological developments, this paper intends to extract the illegal construction land information using the high-spatial-resolution remote sensing images, and we choose the Huangyan district to be the demonstration area to carry out the county-level law enforcement and to implement proper supervision to land resources. We have extracted the suspected illegal build-up construction sites using the change detection and urban extraction technologies. The experiment achieves a good result and demonstrates the significant potentials of domestic high-spatial-resolution satellite in the practical applications of law enforcement and supervision of land resources.

Abstract:Due to inappropriate planning and management, accelerated urban growth and tremendous loss in land, especially cropland, have become a great challenge for sustainable urban development in China, especially in developed urban area in the coastal regions; therefore, there is an urgent need to effectively detect and monitor the land use changes and provide accurate and timely information for planning and management. In this study a method combining principal component analysis (PCA) of multisensor satellite images from SPOT (systeme pour l'observation de la terre or earth observation satellite)-5 multispectral (XS) and Landsat-7 enhanced thematic mapper (ETM) panchromatic (PAN) data, and supervised classification was used to detect and analyze the dynamics of land use changes in the city proper of Hangzhou. The overall accuracy of the land use change detection was 90.67% and Kappa index was 0.89. The results indicated that there was a considerable land use change (10.03% of the total area) in the study area from 2001 to 2003, with three major types of land use conversions: from cropland into built-up land, construction site, and water area (fish pond). Changes from orchard land into built-up land were also detected. The method described in this study is feasible and useful for detecting rapid land use change in the urban area.

Abstract:Abstract UAV remote sensing systems are widely used in environmental investigations. It is mainly used to classify land resources and monitor environmental land in urban areas to fully grasp urban land resource information. At present, some government departments in China have tried to use unmanned aerial vehicle remote sensing systems for environmental investigations. Using high-definition digital cameras equipped with unmanned aerial vehicles to carry out environmental surveys in rural and urban land resources. The unmanned aerial vehicle remote sensing system obtains a remote sensing map to provide a basis for the measurement of land use rights, reduces the investment in traditional land measurement manpower and material resources, greatly improves the measurement efficiency and meets the precise requirements of government departments for environmental monitoring. Abstract:The hydrogeological investigation is a work carried out by comprehensive utilization of various exploration methods to identify hydrogeological conditions in the target area, and develop and utilize groundwater resources. There are great differences in hydrogeological conditions in different regions. Hence, it is necessary to take exploration technology according to local conditions to master hydrogeological information as much as possible. Among them, the remote sensing (RS) technology can reflect the ground surveying and mapping results with high efficiency and precision through the analysis of satellite or aerial photographs, which is a commonly used method in the current hydrogeological investigation. According to satellite RS data, this work evaluates the distribution of groundwater levels in the study area and explores the geological and hydrogeological conditions of the groundwater system in the affected area. Firstly, the human-computer interactive interpretation method is used to analyze the topography and geomorphology conditions. Secondly, the spectral characteristic curve analysis method is used to extract the spectral characteristics of regional stratum lithology, and analyze and determine the lithology composition and structure of the aquifer. Thirdly, the single-band and multiband models of soil moisture RS estimation of groundwater level are implemented. Finally, the measured data are employed to verify and analyze the estimated value of the model. The results are in line with the actual value, and good results have been achieved.
