Constructing experimental teaching demonstration center of thermal energy and power engineering to promote the innovation spirit

Abstract:In order to cultivate application-oriented innovative talents,a novel practice teaching mode for undergraduate students was presented by the experimental teaching demonstration center of thermal energy and power engineering in Beijing University of Technology,the main features were as follows: student-centered,teacher-guided,innovation-focused.Innovative teaching,innovative learning and innovative research established the main line of practice teaching system including three stages.Some methods were adopted such as opening laboratory for undergraduate students,student tutor for undergraduate students,student scientific research training,science & technology contest,encouraging independent practice,interdisciplinarity,international exchange,and cooperative education.The spirit of innovation and practice ability of undergraduate students have been effectively promoted.
