A Preliminary Study on OsF-box Gene Expression in Rice

Abstract:To study the function of the OsF-box gene,the plant RNAi expression vector of the gene was constructed and in tegrated into the genome of a rice variety Nipponbare.The transgenic lines were identified by PCR and Southern blot analysis.Compared with the wild type,the transgenic rice plants got heading 15~20 days later and produced many tillers on upper nodes in the reproductive growth stage.Furthermore,the promoter sequenc e of the OsF-box gene was cloned and its GUS fusion gene expres sion vector was contructed and introduced into rice genome.The result of GUS hi stochemical staining showed that the OsF-box gene was expressed in stems and anthers but was not in roots and leaves.
