Abstract:The treatment of pulmonary hypertension(PH)is developing rapidly due to the increasingly understanding of the pathogenesis.Several classes of drugs have been approved,including prostacyclin(PGI2)and prostaglandin analogs,endothelin(ET)receptor antagonists and phosphodiesterase-5(PDE-5)inhibitors.Various new substances are now under clinical investigation,holding promise for the future therapy of pulmonary hypertension.This article reviews recent progress in the drug treatment of pulmonary hypertension.
