Abstract:Mulberry (Morus spp.) is an important economic crop plant with multiple values. The proceeding of genetic engineering in mulberry facilitated mulberry breeding and character improvement. Recently, varieties of transgenic method have been applied in mulberry in order to construct a series of effective transformation system and several transgenic lines have been obtained in pathogen resistance and anti-insect etc. The researches in mulberry genetic engineering will enrich the mulberry breeding materials and promote the progress of mulberry molecular breeding.
