Abstract:In this paper,temperature distributions of buried cable were analyzed according to the knowledge of heat transfer,after constructing heat conduction equation and boundary condition,temperature distributions were calculated with the finite element method in which the grids diˉvided into a triangle format.The ampacities of cables are solved with dichotomy.Temperature distribution maps of three single core cables and the relation between ampacities and buried depth are obtained.
