Analysis of Relative Factors of Lymph Node Metastasis in Rectal Cancer Patients

Abstract:Objective:To study the relative factors of lymph node metastasis in rectal cancer so as to help clinical diagnosis and treatment.Methods:Clinical data of 386 cases of rectal cancer undergoing radical resection were analyzed.The relationship between lymphatic metastasis and clinicopathologic variables were evaluated by Chi-squared test and logistic regression.Results:Lymph node metastasis in rectal cancer patients had nothing to do with gender and lesion sites(P>0.05).Age,tumor size,the differentiating degree of the tumor,histology type,the depth of tumor invasion and the preoperative blood serum CEA level were proved to be main factors influencing the lymph node metastasis in colorectal cancer.After logistic regression estimation,the correlativity of risk factor of lymph node metastasis in colorectal cancer fall from the depth of tumor invasion and the differentiating degree of the tumor.Conclusion:The lymphatic metastasis of rectal carcinoma is related to age,tumor size,the differentiating degree of the tumor,histology type,the depth of tumor invasion and the preoperative blood serum CEA level;the depth of tumor invasion and the differentiating degree of the tumor are found to be major factors.
