Abstract:The generalization of higher education put forward a challenge for the teaching pattern in the institution of higher learning.At the same time,it requires the reform of teaching pattern and teaching method in the elitist period. The paper analyzes the development tendency of the reform of teaching pattern in the institution of higher learning under the credit system according to the experience in education field and the characteristic of teaching administration under the credit system.It also constructs physical education teaching pattern in the institution of higher learning under the credit system.It is hoped that the study will contribute to a great transition of the current teaching pattern,serve the requirement of the generalization of higher education and fit in with the need of the reform of physical education teaching pattern.

Abstract:During the 1920s and early 30's,with rapid increase in the number of higher education institutions(HEIs) in China,there appeared a noticeable decrease in their teaching quality.People at that time criticized this situation and proposed some suggestions for solving the problems.Most of them,no matter they were Chinese or foreigners,thought that the major problems with China's higher education were the following: indiscriminate founding of HEIs,imbalanced geographical distribution of HEIs,improper academic departmental structure,as well as inefficiency in education.Other problems include: too many specialized schools,esp.private schools,had been upgraded into universities;the number of liberal arts colleges and arts students far exceeded that of polytechnic institutes and science students;HEIs mostly were located in metropolises such as Peking and Shanghai;moonlighting were very common among faculty,etc.The above-mentioned problems did exist,but those comments on schools' teaching quality were not all true.

Abstract:Since the expansion of admission for higher education in 1999,statistical data has shown some differences between central higher education system and provincial one.The central higher education system has obtained elite characteristics in terms of more graduate education,more comprehensive institutions,and more resource per student.In contrast,the provincial higher education system has contributed significantly to achieve the objective of higher education massification in terms of more students enrollments,more vocational institutions,less resource per student.All these will make the basis of multiple modes and stratifications of higher education in China.

Abstract:Post-massification is a particular stage of the popularization of higher education which is quite close to the popular development. In this period, some continuous changes in higher education and challenges facing colleges and universities will further emerge,and universities in China will stand in the crossroads of transformation once again. As a kind of subjective behav-ior in the process of promoting the transformation of higher education,classification can make the final achievements of the reform and development of colleges and universities in this specific period presented in classified forms.This will helpgrasp the charac-teristics of different types of colleges and universities in the post-massification era, based on which the scientific and social functions of different university can be better highlighted. Abstract:The universalization of higher education in China has undergone a remarkable transformation driven by government policies and rapid economic growth. This study explores the characteristics and future development of this educational evolution. China's journey towards universalization began with ambitious policy initiatives in 1998, aiming to expand access to higher education. Within a mere 17 years, the gross enrollment rate in higher education surged from 9.8% to an impressive 50%, surpassing the United States' 30-year path to universality. This rapid expansion, fueled by a burgeoning economy, has raised questions about educational quality and employability. New universities have played a crucial role, expanding access and optimizing the higher education structure. However, they face challenges due to their short history and limited resources. The study also emphasizes the need for a balanced regional framework and an education model aligning with sustainable development goals. China's experience in universalizing higher education provides valuable insights for global educational development. This transformation serves as a noteworthy case study, highlighting the importance of balancing quantity and quality in higher education expansion and providing lessons for educational development worldwide.

Abstract:Higher education has entered the stage of popularization in China. At the end of the 20th century, the Chinese government made a major decision to accelerate the development of higher education. To the 21st century, the scale of higher education has expanded unprecedentedly. The rapid increase in Numbers has caused many quality problems. It has attracted more and more attention of scholars and society how to develop higher education with high quality. In view of the problem, this paper provides an overview of higher education quality assurance in the world, including its rise, development and new trend. To adapt to higher education globalization, we should further deepen reform and innovation, and accelerate the construction and improvement of quality assurance to effectively improve high education quality. Of course, we also do it from the advanced experience of developed countries and reality in China. So we will take measures to improve higher education quality in China in future. We can also call it prospect for higher education quality. For example, there will be special policy and legal basis for quality assurance, professional certification evaluation system, national quality standards, reform and innovation. In fact, we will meet difficulties. And we should make decision to face reality. Altogether, the ultimate aim is to improve promote the good development of higher education quality.

Abstract:In the process of higher education popularization,the development of higher education in our country is not balanced,which is harmful for future development. After the goal of higher education popularization is achieved,we should explore the unbalanced development tendency of higher education in China,starting with the gross enrollment rate of higher education. We should also adjust according to the law to accomplish the transformation of China's higher education popularization from "quantity" to "quality". In this paper,the model life tables are used to predict the college-age population (aged 18 to 22 years old) in the next 15 years in the country's different areas. Thus,the gross enrollment rate is calculated for the next 15 years,and the trend of internal geographical structure differences in higher education popularization is analyzed. The purpose is to find out how to adjust the internal structure in the development of higher education popularization.

Abstract:This paper conducts a historical analysis of the number and types of Chinese higher education institutions from a new perspective, that is, the dimension of university organization. The study found that the scale expansion process of higher education system has taken on an obvious stage and has experienced four stages: initial germination, tortuous development, steady development and balanced development. The overall trend is to change from the high-speed expansion mode to the low-speed expansion mode. The type differentiation process of higher education system shows distinctive uniqueness and policy-driven orientation, which has formed a diverse higher education system made up of research universities, private colleges, higher vocational colleges, local undergraduate universities and so on. Generally speaking, the scale expansion and type differentiation of higher education system reflect the changes in its volume and nature respectively. They are two sides of the same body under different development logics. The two influence each other and act on the self-development ability and external adaptation ability of higher education system.
