Abstract:Liquid hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene(HTPB) was used to modify epoxy resin,and the thermal stability,mechanical and electrical properties of the modified epoxy resin were studied.The results indicate that the terminal hydroxyl group of HTPB reacts with epoxy group.The thermal stability of the modified epoxy resin decreases;and the bending,tensile and impact strength of the resin with low HTPB content increase obviously.The HTPB particles distribute well in the epoxy matrix and form phase separation in curing.In addition,the electrical insulating properties and dielectric properties of the modified epoxy resin are improved.
