Abstract:In this paper, the influence of geographical structure of complex networks on their percolation thresholds is studied. The new network model(HLESF) is studied, and some simulated results are stu-died.We find that when geographical constrains are weaker, the networks are spatially more loosely connected, and percolate more easily than those densely connected networks, even when the networks have similar abstract topology structures,e.g.degree distributions. It means that loosely geographical networks are more robust. This gives understandings to some phenomena of real networks and provides additional considerations in constructing real geographical networks in spite of the minimal cost principle.Although lattice embedded geographical networks are not the real model that generate networks,it can be used to study network dynamics, while the network structure which moves over time can be ignored.
