Abstract:Existence of periodic solutions for a kind of Rayleigh equation with a deviating argument x″(t)+f(x′(t))+g(t,x(t−τ(t)))=p(t) is studied, and some new results are obtained. Our work generalizes and improves the known results in the literature.

Abstract:In the paper, we are concerned with the existence of periodic solutions for a coupled Rayleigh system. By combining graph theory with coincidence degree theory as well as Lyapunov function method, two new sufficient conditions on the existence of periodic solutions for the coupled Rayleigh system are established. Our results on the existence of periodic solutions for the coupled Rayleigh system improve those obtained in the existing literature for coupled Rayleigh system. Here ω is a positive constant, and f:[0,ω]×Rn→Rn is a Carathéodory function. Some existence and multiplicity results of positive periodic solutions are derived by using a fixed point theorem in cones.

Abstract:This paper is concerned with the existence of periodic solutions for coupled Rayleigh system (CRS). A sufficient criterion for the existence of periodic solutions for CRS is provided via an innovative method of combining graph theory with coincidence degree theory as well as Lyapunov method. As a subsequent result, coupled Lord Rayleigh system is also discussed. Subsequently, a sufficient condition is given to determine the existence of its periodic solutions. Finally, a numerical example and its simulations are presented to illustrate the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed criterion.

Abstract:This paper is concerned with the following nonperiodic Hamiltonian elliptic system {−Δu+V(x)u=Rv(x,u,v)in RN,−Δv+V(x)v=Ru(x,u,v)in RN,u(x)→0andv(x)→0as |x|→∞, where R(x,z) is superquadratic in z as |z|→∞ with z=(u,v). By applying a critical point theorem for strongly indefinite functionals, we prove the existence of solution for the above system.

Abstract:We obtain existence an multiplicity of harmonic and subharmonic solutions to the periodically forced nonlinear Duffing′s equation x″ + g(x) = p(t) in the semi-linear case: 0 < A ≤ g(x)/x ≤ B < + ∞, for |x| large. We introduce new conditions of nonresonance with respect to the spectrum of the associated linear differential operator x↦ −x″ and show, by some nonlinear counterexamples, that the results are sharp.

Abstract:We first give a solution to a key problem concerning the completeness of the space of weighted pseudo almost-periodic functions and then establish a new composition theorem with respect to these functions. Some important remarks with concrete examples are also presented. Moreover, we prove an existence theorem for the weighted pseudo almost-periodic mild solution to the semilinear evolution equation: x′(t)=Ax(t)+f(t,x(t)), t∈ℝ, where A is the infinitesimal generator of an exponentially stable C0-semigroup. An application is also given to illustrate the abstract existence theorem.

Abstract:This paper deals with the semilinear Rayleigh–Stokes equation with the fractional derivative in time of order , which can be used to model anomalous diffusion in viscoelastic fluids. An operator family related to this problem is defined, and its regularity properties are investigated. We firstly give the concept of the mild solutions in terms of the operator family and then obtain the existence of global mild solutions by means of fixed point technique. Moreover, the existence and regularity of classical solutions are given.

Abstract:In this paper, we consider the existence of periodic solutions for a class of semilinear second-order differential equations. The difficulty of traditional methods lies in a mass of detailed estimates. By applying the viscosity solutions method and the classical upper-lower solutions method, as well as the Leray-Schauder fixed point principle, we establish the existence of periodic solutions to the equation under some weaker conditions. Our result improves and generalizes many results on the ropes mechanics equations in the previous literature.

Abstract:In this paper we prove the existence and uniqueness of C(n)-almost periodic solutions to the ordinary differential equation x′(t)=A(t)x(t)+f(t),t∈R, where the matrix A(t):R→Mk(C) is τ-periodic and f:R→Ck is C(n)-almost periodic. We also prove the existence and uniqueness of an ultra-weak C(n)-almost periodic solution in the case when A(t)=A is independent of t. Finally we prove also the existence and uniqueness of a mild C(n)-almost periodic solution of the semilinear hyperbolic equation x′(t)=Ax(t)+f(t,x) considered in a Banach space, assuming f(t,x) is C(n)-almost periodic in t for each x∈X, satisfies a global Lipschitz condition and takes values in an extrapolation space FA−1 associated to A.

Abstract:Abstract In this paper, we describe a method to solve the problem of finding periodic solutions for second-order neutral delay-differential equations with piecewise constant arguments of the form x ′′( t ) + px ′′( t − 1) = qx ([ t ]) + f ( t ), where [⋅] denotes the greatest integer function, p and q are nonzero real or complex constants, and f ( t ) is complex valued periodic function. The method reduces the problem to a system of algebraic equations. We give explicit formula for the solutions of the equation. We also give counter examples to some previous findings concerning uniqueness of solution.
