Abstract:Soybean peptides were extracted from soybean with column chromatogram after being hydrolyzed by papain. The average peptide-length was assayed by the colorimetric method reacting with ninhydrin. A control group fed saline water (0.25 ml/d) and three experimental groups fed 4,12 and 20 mg/ml (0.25 ml/d) respectively, were designed to investigate the effects of the soybean peptides on the small intestine growth and the mucosal disaccharidase activities. The results showed that body weight and protein content of small intestine mocusa both increase (p0.05) by administration of the peptides at the dosage of 12 mg/ml/d, but there are no effect on the length and weight of small intestine tissue. The activities of mucosal dissacharidase decrease significantly (p0.01) by administration of the peptides at the dosage of either 12 or 20mg/ml·d.
