Abstract:"Borderland"is a very complicated spatial concept,which has much to do with such factors as relations among ethnic groups,cultural forms,states,domestic politics,economic and military power,administrative approaches,technological levels,world situations and international law,and changes with the historical process of the world and different countries with new implications and reconstruction."Borderland"reveals a process from the vague to the clear and from a focus on the land borderland to the marine borderland,and from the single to the multi-dimensional.The development of globalization has promoted the changes in the concept of"borderland"from the tangible to the intangible,The"borderland"in the age of globalization is composed of the territorial borderland of the land,the sea and the air as well as the strategic borderland of interest borderland,information borderland,cultural borderland and space borderland.In the age of globalization with complicated international situations,all researchers and people concerned should have a new concept of multi-borderland and a world vision with Chinese characteristics in order to realize the goal of the great renaissance of the Chinese nation.
