Abstract:To distribute multiple jammers in stand-off jamming quickly and accurately,and taking penetration as a combat precondition,new interference effect evaluation indicators were designed respectively from three aspects of interference degree,interference location and interference angle,and a system of radar interference effect evaluation indicators based on penetration path was established .The problem of jamming resource distribution model was solved with the new interference effect evaluation indicators .The interference area figures were drawn through computer simulation and the GUI simulation interface of penetration area was designed .The simulation results show that the distribution plan is more effective for penetration path planning and pays more attention to the protection of the penetration path .
A Practical Method Against Chaff Jamming for the Radar

Abstract:In modern sea-wars, ships use passive chaff jamming largely, which threaten the radar of anti-ship missile greatly because of the similarity of the velocity between the ship and the chaff. This paper presents a practical new pattern recognition method against chaff jamming, which is based on the difference in similarity and stability of the time-domain radar echoes between the ship and the chaff.By constructing two random variates, average similarity value and peak distance, the method uses their sample average and sample standard deviation as the recognition characteristics respectively. Experiment check and laboratory simulation show that this method has an average correctness rate over 90%, and meets the real-time demands, which at the same time demonstrate the effectiveness of the method.

Abstract:In regard to the anti-jamming issue of space TT&C monopulse tracking system, the characteris-tics of the countermeasures are discussed in the aspects of signal form, mechanism of TT&C, features of antenna and kinematics of target, implementation of mission, and the arrangement of the tracking stations, through the analysis of the monopulse countermeasures techniques of radar system. The possible platforms of jammer are analyzed. The evaluation formula of jamming intensity and the constraint condition of effec-tive jamming of TT&C monopulse are provided. The effect of cross-eye jamming, AGC jamming and delay-retransmit jamming on TT&C monopulse tracking are investigated. These research achievements constitute the elementary framework of TT&C monopulse system countermeasures.

Abstract:Linear frequency modulation(LFM) signal radar always uses pulse compression technology,which has strong ability to suppress convention noise interference.In order to counter such radar effectively,two narrowband noise jamming realization methods are proposed in this paper.With these methods,the radar signal reseived and stored by jammer and noise signal are multiplied or convolved to get the noise jamming.Then the noise jamming is magnified and transmitted.These two methods donot need to spy frequency or frequency channel off.They can aim at radar's frequency automatically and improve the utility of jamming power.The two methods have obvious advantages to traditional broadband noise suppression method。In this paper,through theoretical derivation,simulation analysis and test,it shows that these two kinds of interference method have significant effects to LFM signal radar.

Abstract:PD radar is a kind of advanced pulse radar which using coherent processing.It provides an important field for development and application of the signal processing techniques.However,it has several problems on towed decoys.In this paper,the characteristics of towed decoys are analyzed.Then a new method which uses proper guidance strategy is proposed to separate and resolve the Doppler spectrum line of carrier airplane and towed decoy in medium or long range before carrier airplane escapes from the beam of radar.Finally a new scheme for mono-pulse Doppler radar countering towed decoy jamming is proposed by using the processing techniques of multi-velocity gate tracking,angle centroid tracking,and target discrimination.Simulation results indicated the feasibly of the proposed method and scheme.

Abstract:The purpose of this study is to evaluate the jamming effectiveness evaluation against monopulse radar when using a non-coherent blinking jamming model at regular intervals based on three aircraft flight trajectories. To begin, the formation trajectory is solved under various aircraft attitudes to provide the radar cross section model for three-aircraft formation flying. Following that, the jamming angle tracking error model for three-aircraft formation flying is built and coupled with the features of monopulse radar angle tracking. The effective decoy angle and other criteria are used to measure the variance in jamming performance and the efficacy of formation flying radar jamming under varying jamming power and jamming gain. Finally, using the jamming effectiveness assessment criterion, the jamming effectiveness of formation flight is calculated. The findings demonstrate that the three-aircraft formation based on time transformation jamming model can successfully induce the monopulse radar angular tracking error, enhance it to 1.54 times, and stabilize the jamming effectiveness at 0.84, and it also has a relatively good jamming effect under straight flight trajectory and circular flight trajectory. Our jamming strategy will contribute to the design of electronic countermeasures, of which the findings of this research have practical significance for the application of new jamming styles.

Abstract:It is an efficient method to verify the effect of chaff-jamming through the simulation of the echoes of the object and chaff.To counter the technique of passive jamming,this paper introduces the simulation of the echoes of the plane and chaff on the basis of the principle of center of mass jamming.The result of simulation shows that the signal for object is drowned completely in a miscellaneous wave and very difficult to exam,and the object breaks away from the tracking of radars.It means the excellent effect of chaff-jamming.

Abstract:The paper introduced the applications of the jamming technology for infrared decoy and chaff. It was found by the test that: (1) different additives can increase the radiation intensity of Mg-Teflon composite in the wavelength regions of 3 approx. 5 ��m and 8 approx. 14 ��m, in which Fe3O4 is best for 3 approx. 5 ��m and Mg-Al is best for 8 approx. 14 ��m; (2) the 4 mm �� 1 mm rectangular aluminum chaff can widen the frequency bandwidth, V-type chaff of the aluminum has higher radar reflection cross section (RCS) for centimeter and millimeter waves. The jamming technology of the centimeter wave chaff is also efficient in the millimeter waves.

Abstract:Based on the resonance absorption effect of plasma, a novel time-varying plasma passive jamming method against one dimensional range profile of radar detection is proposed in this paper. The jamming mechanism of time-varying plasma structure is presented and verified. Based on the transmission line analogy, an instantaneous method is developed to calculate the radar time domain echo and the pulse compression of a target coated by the time-varying plasma. Then, the distortions of radar waveform and spectrum are numerically calculated. Finally, the jamming effect of the time-varying plasma on the one-dimensional range profile of a target is studied systematically for different regulating amplitude and frequency of electron density, radar bandwidth and pulse width parameters. The range profile result indicates that single radar target coating by time-varying plasma structure will generate cloaking effects and produce two or more false radar targets, and the distance between real and false target as well as reduction of echo intensity are related to the radar and regulating plasma parameters. The results show that this jamming method could have a great impact on the one-dimensional range profile, and the results could provide many useful reference to radar countermeasure.

The study can provide theoretical foundation for the design and application of cross‐eye jammers.

Interference Modeling of Two Point Source Retrodirective Cross-eye Considering Target Echo

Abstract:In view of the strong anti-jamming capability of monopulse radar, the cross eye is used to interfere with monopulse radar. Monopulse radar is widely used in missile terminal guidance for precise attack on aircraft and ship targets. Based on the radar equation and the principle of monopulse radar angle measurement, the retrodirective cross-eye interference of the isolated target and the two point source under the target echo are modeled. Based on the analysis method of linear fitting, the general formula of two source reverse cross eye parameters and monopulse radar indicating angle are obtained. The influence of jammer power, signal phase difference, signal amplitude ratio and echo signal phase on the angle deception effect of monopulse radar is discussed through case simulation. The results show that: The phase difference of the two signals emitted by the jammer is closer to 180 degrees and the amplitude ratio is closer to 1, the better the angle deception effect of the jammer is to the monopulse radar; with the increase of jammer power, the parameter tolerance of jammers is more relaxed when JSR (10 similar to 25 dB) is increased; and due to the influence of target echeo phase, the jamming effect of jammer is unstable; the mathematical model is consistent with the simulation model of monopulse radar receiver. This study can provide reference for the design of reverse cross eye jammers for aircraft and ships.

Abstract:Compared with the multisite radar, the monostatic radar has the disadvantages of a single viewing angle and less available information. In the presence of main-lobe jamming, the monostatic radar has the problems of poor antijamming effect and difficulty in achieving target detection. To solve the above problems, the radar signal processing method and data fusion method are combined in this article. A main-lobe jamming suppression method for phased array (PA) netted radar based on the maximum signal-to-noise ratio blind source separation (MSNR-BSS) is proposed. First, the received signals of a monostatic PA radar are separated into target signals and jamming signals by the MSNR-BSS method. Second, channel accumulation, pulse compression, and constant false-alarm rate (CFAR) target detection are performed on the separated signal channels to obtain the target radial distance. Finally, the data fusion theory of three global orientations (TGOs) is employed to determine the target spatial position. Simulation experiments evaluate the performance of main-lobe jamming suppression and verify the effectiveness of the proposed method. In the presence of noise amplitude modulation (NAM) jamming or smeared spectrum (SMSP) jamming (JNR = 100 dB), the target positioning accuracy (TPA) of the proposed method is 6.613 or 6.596 m, respectively. Also, the peak-to-sidelobe level ratios (PSLRs) in the two jamming environments are approximately equal to −8 dB.

Abstract:Based on the resonance absorption effect of plasma, the mechanism of plasma jamming technology is studied and verified in this letter. Different from the power perspective, the effects of plasma on the radar echo waveform and the radar signal detection are studied. It is found that the radar echo waveform is distorted and the performance of pulse compression is degraded. Moreover, the phenomenon of radar false targets appears with several meters apart. Thus, plasma could not only act as electromagnetic wave absorbers, but also a kind of passive jammer. Finally, many optimal plasma parameters are presented to achieve desired jamming effects for different radar frequencies. These data provide some useful references to plasma jamming technology.

Firstly, the distributed jamming model of shipborne radar is established, and then the cooperative jamming equation is established, finally, according to the cooperative jamming equation, the numerical simulation of shipborne radar is carried out.

Abstract:The authors proposed a main lobe deceptive jamming suppression method for monopulse radar based on BSS and energy detection, which can achieve interference suppression while accurately estimating the angle of the real target. Main lobe deceptive jamming always causes the serious degradation of signal detection ability and angle measurement precision of monopulse radar. In recent years, the Blind Source Separation (BSS) method has been adopted to suppress the main lobe jamming. However, the separation results of BSS have the problem of amplitude ambiguity, which will cause the radar using monopulse angle measurement fail to measure the angle parameters after jamming suppression. To tackle this problem, a novel main lobe jamming suppression method is proposed based on BSS and energy detection. Firstly, the models of target echoes and jamming in the sum and difference beam receiving channels are derived. Secondly, the target echoes and interferences are separated by the Joint Approximate Diagonalisation of Eigenmatrices (JADE) algorithm, and then the unperturbed signal segments in the mixed signal are extracted by energy detection, thereby obtaining the precise ratio of the sum and difference channels to complete the angle measurement. Performance of the method was verified by numerical simulation. The results show that the proposed method can achieve interference suppression while accurately estimating the angle parameter of the target.

Abstract:In this paper,based on the model of airborne active phased array radar and electronic warfare equipment's confrontation process and the hardware-in-the-loop radio frequency simulation test,the confrontation effectiveness evaluation method of radar is established.Its aim is to fully evaluate the effectiveness of the radar's anti-jamming in order to meet the actual needs of military applications.Firstly,this research can be used to verify the airborne active phased array radar system technology and other key technologies such as anti-jamming algorithm.Secondly,it can test the radar in infield to verify radar's anti-jamming performance and support the adaptability diagnostic test under the complex electromagnetic environment before the radar finalize the design.Finally,the research can be used to verify and evaluate the performance of airborne active phased array radar's anti-jamming.
