Abstract:The pear cultivars Zaosheng Xinshui and Cuiguan planted in greenhouse and open field were used as test materials and the changes of main nutrient contents of their developing fruits were studied. The results showed that the fructose and glucose contents increased dominantly before July 1, and the increasing rates in greenhouse were greater than those in open field. The time of peak values of the contents in greenhouse was 18 days earlier than that in open field. At later stage, the sucrose content increased rapidly. The sucrose content of ripe fruit for a cultivar in open field was obviously higher than that in greenhouse, and the total sugars of ripe fruit were mainly fructose and sucrose. The sugar content of Cuiguan fruit in greenhouse was lower than that in open field, but the sugar content of Zaosheng Xinshui fruit was just the opposite. The organic acid and starch contents of fruit in green- house were lower than those in open field. The peak time of starch accumulation in greenhouse was earlier than that in open field. The starch content of ripe fruit of Zaosheng Xinshui in greenhouse was lower than that in open field, but the starch content for Cuiguan was reverse. The vitamin C content of fruit presented a trend of firstly increasing and then decreasing, and was low.The vitamin C con- tent of ripe fruit of Zaosheng Xinshui in greenhouse was significantly different from that in open field. The hardness of ripe fruit of Zaosheng Xinshui in greenhouse was lower than that in open field, but the hardness of ripe fruit of Cuiguan in greenhouse was higher than that in open field. The soluble solids content of Zaosheng Xinshui in greenhouse was higher than that in open field, yet the soluble solids content of Cuiguan in greenhouse was lower than that in open field. In general, culturing pear cultivars in greenhouse could improve fruit quality which was also related to their cultivars.
