Abstract:With the rapid growth in the body of scientific data, scientific research depends more and more on finding theories and knowledge from the data, and thus data-intensive scientific discovery has become the fourth paradigm of scientific research. Therefore, it is urgent to develop and adopt methods to support the collection, collation, preservation and utilization of scientific data. This paper provides an overview of scientific data curation research and practices in mainland China. Firstly, it reviews Chinese research articles on data curation and outlines the research status and progress in this area. Secondly, it surveys existing scientific data repositories or platforms in mainland China, and analyzes the gaps between China's and other countries' data curation practices.

Abstract:Based on the experiences of community care development in Britain,this paper aims to analyze the meanings,elements,barriers of home-care system of elderly in China.There are many differences in the characteristics of the meanings,in particular in the field of elderly social service.Researcher conducted qualitative date by using comparative analysis of literature and programs to answer the proposed aims of this research.There are valuable lessons that we can learn from the British experiences for developing community home-care system of elders in China,in particular its series of laws,reliable source of funding and professionals involved.Finally,based on the above discussions,the author reflects on the community development difficulties faced by China and offers some suggestions for the future.

It is summarized that present researches focus on curation work, application technology, professional education and skills training, infrastructure and organization, policy and law, open description and standard. Abstract:Based on the co-word analysis and knowledge map visualization function of CiteSpace software, this paper systematically compares and analyzes the research progress of data journalism at home and abroad from four aspects which are theoretical development, practical research, communication ethics and talent cultivation.In terms of theoretical development, domestic research on data journalism has significant lag and convergence compared with foreign countries.In practice research, both domestic and foreign have analysis of the results of the main body of the creation, and researchers of foreign countries have also reflected on the professional norms in the process of data journalism production.The discussion on communication theory at home and abroad is roughly similar, and the demonstration is based on the authenticity of the data collection process and the rationality of the communication process.In terms of personnel training, foreign countries focus on the evaluation of existing training mechanisms, while domestically, it mainly summarizes the experience of foreign data journalism training and demonstrates the urgency of training relevant talents in China.Therefore, China′s data journalism research is still in the stage of″follow-through″imitation.Though exist some problems, such as too many topics concentrated, less correlation analysis, and relatively simple research perspectives and methods, which will become the breakthrough point for China′s data journalism research and discipline development in the future.

Abstract:Currently, various data curation platforms have been developed home and abroad so as to provide data services for scientific research. However, in comparison with some advanced countries, the development and construction of data curation platforms in our country starts relatively late with only a small number of platforms having been constructed, and thus lacks mature construction experience. Therefore, we selected 20 representative data curation platforms and carried out a thorough survey to investigate, compare and analyze various aspects of these platforms including data lifecycle models, technical specifications, components, software tools, functions, etc. On the basis of the survey results, we proposed a general framework for building data curation platforms, aiming to provide a reference for the development and construction of domestic platforms.

Abstract:In order to keep track of the latest development in library science at home and aboard,the current paper analyzes,by UCINET and ENDNOTE,the keywords of the articles in 22 journals on library science from Social Science Citation Index published between 2008-2010 to make a comparison of the research in library science at home and abroad.Besides,it categorizes this field into seven significant research areas,including information service and user,library management,digital library and its relative techniques,information retrieval and information retrieval behavior,information and knowledge organization,information resource construction and librarianship,in the hope of providing references for library science research in China.

Abstract:Data, as a valuable resource, occupies a more and more important position, and data governance has gradually become a research hotspot. This paper uses the bibliometric software citespace to study 1130 documents selected from the CNKI journal database in 2010-2020, and makes a comprehensive analysis of the data governance from several aspects from the number of the number of articles, the distribution of authors, publishing institutions, research hotspots and frontier trends. By studying the current situation of data governance research in China, this paper is helpful to understand the development trend, explore hot issues, make up for the defects and deficiencies in the research, and provide reference for promoting the theoretical research and practical application research of data governance research in China.

Abstract:ABSTRACTThis study addresses the need for a shared understanding of humanities data to enhance data curation. Through interviews with 27 scholars, it identifies two ways scholars conceptualize data ‐ by format or role in research. It highlights three unique aspects: diverse requirements of materiality and processing levels, significance of authorship and perspective, and the dual role of tertiary sources. The study suggests prioritizing provenance, facilitating data documentation, curating tertiary sources for wider use, and establishing scholarly communication mechanisms for effective data curation.

Abstract:Urban sprawl is a world phenomenon which has drawn the scholars' attention in China.This article starts with reviewing the definitions,characteristics, measurements,mechanisms and strategies of urban sprawl at home and abroad. Then,it attempts to give comprehensive assessments on the above works.Results show that:①existing researches in China mainly focused on the descriptive analysis, and lack of quantitative analysis;②studies in the West are diverse,but are so scattered that need to be integrated;③cities in China and in the western countries have many differences in many aspects,so Chinese studies about urban sprawl must consider the actual situation of our country;④domestic evaluations always used some indices to measure the effects of policies but couldn't combine it with GIS graphs ideally,therefore,it is needed to utilize western methods as a reference to rich our studies.

Abstract:Abstract Moving beyond the ‘digital native’ rhetoric, this paper investigates what Chinese undergraduates are actually doing with online resources to learn English outside the classroom. Particular attention is paid to their dealing and managing online resources in their English learning context. A sociocultural framework is adopted to understand learners’ behaviours surrounding digital technology. This theoretical position guides the exploration into the contextually mediated choices and practices of English learners in the information-rich age. Data collection for this study includes semi-structured interviews with 49 undergraduates from two large Chinese universities. The data demonstrate that when it comes to digital curations of English learning resources, learners personalize online data and build towards a digital library. Yet, many online resources were rashly disposed and consumed. More importantly, the ways that learners deal with digital information and resources are largely shaped by their context of language learning. In light of the above, the paper goes on to consider the number of contextual factors that appear to constrain learners’ curation of online learning resources – not least the cultural artefact of examination and the existing beliefs about language learning.
Bibliometrics analysis based on the study of respite care at home for elderly patients with dementia

Abstract:Objective:To understand and analyze the research status of respite care at home for elderly patients with dementia at home and abroad, and provide reference for related research and practice.Methods:The Chinese and English databases were searched to conduct a quantitative analysis of the literatures related to respite care at home for elderly patients with dementia from the publication year, the distribution area of literature , research type and research content. The retrieval time of Chinese and English databases was from the establishment of the databases to December 2018.Results:A total of 259 literatures were included in the analysis, including 14 Chinese literatures and 245 English literatures. Since 1989, the number of literature publications showed an upward trend. The top three countries with the highest volume of published literatures are 89 literatures in the United States (34.4%, 89/259) , 32 literatures in Australia (12.4%, 32/259) and 28 literatures in the United Kingdom (10.8%, 28/259) . A total of 259 literatures were included in 158 journals and magazines, mainly in geriatric journals (22.2%, 35/158) . The total number of literatures published by the top five journals was 46, and 46 literatures were cited for 6036 times. A total of 196 literatures were cited. The research contents included 100 literatures (38.6%, 100/259) on the current development status of respite care at home in elderly patients with dementia, 121 literatures (46.7%, 121/259) on effect evaluation of elderly patients with dementia and family caregivers and 38 literatures (14.7%, 38/259) on process formulation and standardized management of respite care at home.Conclusions:Respite care at homehas been carried out abroad for many years. Scholars in China should refer to the plan for respite care at home in foreign countries and explore suitable respite care models combined with national conditions and regional differences of China so as to provide new ideas for solving the problem of the aged care.
