Abstract:A method to design a strictly proper dynamic output feedback H_∞controller for D-stability of discrete singular system is given.Firstly,we present the sufficient condition for singular discrete systems to be regular,causal,D-stable as well as whiling meeting a prescribed H_∞performance condition.Based on this condition and a constructed auxiliary singular system,a sufficient condition for the existence of the dynamic output feedback H_∞controller is presented by means of two groups of matrix inequalities,such that the resulting closed-loop system is regular,causal,D-stable and with its transfer function satisfying H_∞norm constraint.We give the analytic expression of the controller which can be obtained by solving the two groups of matrix inequalities.At the same time,a method to design state feedback H_∞controller for discrete singular systems is also obtained.The condition for the solvability of the controllers is expressed by using the coefficient matrices of the system;the design procedure involves no decomposition of the system matrices,which can avoid some numerical problems arising from decomposition of matrices.
