Abstract:Pancreatic cancer is a highly malignant tumor and surgical resection is the only curative treatment option. In order to improve the prognosis of patients with pancreatic cancer, it is very important to diagnose and evaluate pancreatic cancer accurately and early. Imaging examinations play an important role in tumor detection, staging and surgical resectability evaluation, which can provide reliable evidences for diagnosis and treatment of pancreatic cancer. At present, the imaging techniques commonly used for diagnosis of pancreatic cancer include conventional ultrasound, endoscopic ultrasonography, PET-CT, multi-detector row CT (MDCT), magnetic resonance imaging(MRI),in which MDCT and MRI are the most widely used. In this article, the application and research progress of imaging in accurate diagnosis and evaluation of pancreatic cancer are reviewed.

Abstract:Pancreatic cancer is an invasive malignant tumor with a high mortality rate. As the preferred imaging method for pancreatic imaging, multi-slice CT angiography can evaluate the presence or absence, extent, and degree of invasion of peripancreatic major vessels to provide reliable evidence for tumor staging and surgical resectability evaluation. As an important supplementary method of CT, magnetic resonance imaging has an important guiding value in disease diagnosis, liver metastasis, and prognostic evaluation. Vascular invasion of pancreatic cancer is the main indicator for preoperative evaluation of respectability. Lymph node metastasis, distant metastasis, neural invasion of pancreatic cancer, and hepatic artery abnormalities are influencing factors for patients′ prognosis. It is pointed out that preoperative imaging evaluation for patients with pancreatic cancer has guiding significance for the development of treatment regimens, selection of surgical procedures, and prognostic evaluation.
Contrast-enhanced Multiple-Phase Imaging Features of Intrahepatic Mass-Forming Cholangiocarcinoma and Hepatocellular Carcinoma with Cirrhosis: A Comparative Study

Abstract:The intrahepatic mass-forming cholangiocarcinoma (IMCC) is frequently misdiagnosed as hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) in patients with cirrhosis, by numerous radiologists and clinical doctors, which results in the incorrect therapeutic treatment. A retrospective case-control study was conducted, and the contrast-enhanced multiple-phase (CEMP) computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) findings of 22 pathologically confirmed IMCC patients and 22 HCC controls with underlying liver cirrhosis were analyzed at the present hospital, from January 2010 to December 2015. In addition, serum tests were conducted and clinical symptoms of patients evaluated. A statistical analysis revealed that the enhancement pattern, signal on MRI delayed phase (P<0.001), maximum diameter, capsule retraction, portal vein invasion, bile duct dilation and abdominal lymphadenectasis characteristics were different between IMCC and HCC patients with cirrhosis. On CEMP CT and MRI analysis, the most frequently occurring enhancement patterns of IMCC were progressive patterns (P=0.001 or P<0.001). Conversely, the most frequently occurring enhancement patterns present in HCC were the washout patterns (P<0.001). Therefore, the diagnosis of IMCC in cirrhotic patients should be verified with CEMP CT and MRI analysis for the future, to determine presence or absence of progressive and/or peripheral rim-like enhancement, a hyperintensive delayed phase with capsule retraction, portal vein invasion, bile duct dilation, abdominal lymphadenectasis and increased levels of CA199.

Abstract:Objective To evaluate the diagnosis and treatment of pancreatolithiasis associated with peri-ampullary lesions. Methods The clinical data of 8 patients with pancreatolithiasis associated with peri-ampullary lesions surgically treated in our hospital from April 1994 to October 2005 were retrospectively analyzed. Results In S out of the 8 cases of pancreatolithiasiss, the associated peri-ampullary lesions were overlooked preoperatively. Three patients underwent pancreaticoduodenectomy for complicated pancreatic cancer with postoperative survival of 14 months, 18 months, and 23 months respectively. Three patients received pancreaticoduodenectomy and pancreaticojejunostomy for associated duodenal papillary carcinoma and were alive on postoperative follow-up of 10 months, 12 months and 18 months respectively. One patient underwent resection of the pancreatic head, annular pancreas, and a portion of the duodenum with duodenopancreatostomy. One patient had resection of the pancreatic cyst and pancreaticojejunostomy. These 2 later cases were doing well after the surgery. Conclusions Pancreatolithiasis tends to complicate peri-ampullary area with malignance. Suitable surgery can improve the quality of the patients' life and prolong survival time.
Microscopic transduodenal excision of an ampullary adenoma: A case report and review of the literature

Abstract:BACKGROUND Transduodenal local excision is an alternative treatment approach for benign ampullary tumors. However, this procedure has technical difficulties, especially during reconstruction of the pancreaticobiliary ducts. An operating microscope has been widely used by surgeons for delicate surgery due to its major advantages of magnification, illumination, and stereoscopic view. The application of an operating microscope in transduodenal excision of ampullary tumors has not been reported. CASE SUMMARY A 55-year-old woman was admitted for investigation of recurrent upper abdominal pain. Physical examination and laboratory tests found no abnormalities. Imaging identified a large mass in the descending part of the duodenum. Esophagogastroduodenoscopy revealed a 3.5-cm-sized villous growth over the major duodenal papilla. Pathology of the endoscopic biopsy indicated a villous adenoma with low-grade dysplasia. Microscopic transduodenal excision of the ampullary tumor was performed. The final pathological diagnosis was villous-tubular adenoma with low-grade dysplasia. The patient was discharged on postoperative day 12 after an uneventful recovery. Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography was performed 3 mo postoperatively and showed no bile duct or pancreatic duct strictures and no tumor recurrence. The patient is continuing follow-up at our clinic and remains well. CONCLUSION Operating microscope-assisted transduodenal local excision is a feasible and effective option for benign ampullary tumors.
Rational Application of Imaging Techniques in the Diagnosis of Periampullary Carcinomas

Abstract:Objective: To explore the rational application of imaging techniques in the diagnosis of periampullary carcinomas. Methods: A retrospective study of 185 cases of periampullary carcinomas was conducted, including carcinomas of the head of pancreas(n=119), carcinomas of the duodenal papilla(n=41), carcinomas of the ampulla of Vater(n=13) and carcinomas of the distal common bile duct(CBD)(n=12).Results: The accuracy of CT to diagnose carcinomas of the head of pancreas was 90.9%. The accuracy of ERCP to diagnose carcinomas of the duodenal papilla was 100%. Compared to other imaging techniques, ERCP and MRI had higher accuracy rate in diagnosing carcinomas of the ampulla of Vater. Of all the patients who presented upper abdominal distension and/or occult pain, 78% had these symptoms 1 to 3 months prior to the appearance of jaundice. Over 3/4 of the patients had CA19-9 serum level higher than the normal. Conclusions: Patients presenting upper abdominal distension, occult pain, elevated CA19-9 serum level or dilatation of the CBD and/or pancreatic duct should be submitted to further investigations. When tumor is observed during ERCP, it was recommend not to perform cholangio-pancreatography, but biopsy only. MRCP could be useful in cases of ampullary or distal CBD carcinomas which cannot be demonstrated by cholangiopancreatography. EUS could play an important role in the diagnosis and diffe-rential diagnosis of periampullary carcinomas.

Abstract:Diagnostic methods for biliary tract carcinoma and the efficacy of these methods are discussed. Neither definite methods for early diagnosis nor specific markers are available in this disease. When this disease is suspected on the basis of clinical symptoms and risk factors, hemato-biochemical examination and abdominal ultrasonography are performed and, where appropriate, enhanced computed tomography (CT) and/or magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography (MRCP) is carried out. Diagnoses of extrahepatic bile duct cancer and ampullary carcinoma are often made based on the presence of obstructive jaundice. Although rare, abdominal pain and pyrexia, as well as abnormal findings of the hepatobiliary system detected by hemato-biochemical examination, serve as a clue to making a diagnosis of these diseases. On the other hand, the early diagnosis of gallbladder cancer is scarcely possible on the basis of clinical symptoms, so when this cancer is found with the onset of abdominal pain and jaundice, it is already advanced at the time of detection, thus making a cure difficult. When gallbladder cancer is suspected, enhanced CT is carried out. Multidetector computed tomography (MDCT), in particular--one of the methods of enhanced CT--is useful for decision of surgical criteria, because MDCT shows findings such as localization and extension of the tumor, and the presence or absence of remote metastasis. Procedures such as magnetic resonance imaging, endoscopic ultrasonography, bile duct biopsy, and cholangioscopy should be carried out taking into account indications for these procedures in individual patients. However, direct biliary tract imaging is necessary for making a precise diagnosis of the horizontal extension of bile duct cancer.

Abstract:Multiple early gastric carcinoma is a relatively rare clinical entity and is easy to be misdiagnosed for missing tumor lesions.Here we report such a case in a patient who was diagnosed with this rare disease by postoperative pathology after two surgeries.Major causes of misdiagnosis of this disease include the lack of experience with multiple early gastric carcinoma,limitations of medical examinations,and poor patient compliance.To increase the detection rate of multiple early gastric carcinoma,clinicians should increase knowledge about this disease to raise awareness.Chromoendoscopy and magnifying endoscopy should be used when conventional endoscopy is not enough to help establish a diagnosis.Careful intraoperative examination should also be guaranteed.Moreover,pathological examination of continuous sections of surgical specimens is necessary for a definite diagnosis.
Early screening and diagnosis strategies of pancreatic cancer: a comprehensive review

Abstract:Pancreatic cancer is a highly malignant digestive system tumor with a poor prognosis. Most pancreatic cancer patients are diagnosed at an advanced stage or even metastasis due to its highly aggressive characteristics and lack of typical early symptoms. Thus, an early diagnosis of pancreatic cancer is crucial for improving its prognosis. Currently, screening is often applied in high-risk individuals to achieve the early diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. Fully understanding the risk factors of pancreatic cancer and pathogenesis could help us identify the high-risk population and achieve early diagnosis and timely treatment of pancreatic cancer. Notably, accumulating studies have been undertaken to improve the detection rate of different imaging methods and the diagnostic accuracy of endoscopic ultrasound-guided fine-needle aspiration (EUS-FNA) which is the golden standard for pancreatic cancer diagnosis. In addition, there are currently no biomarkers with sufficient sensitivity and specificity for the diagnosis of pancreatic cancer to be applied in the clinic. As the only serum biomarker approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration, carbohydrate antigen 19-9 (CA19-9) is not recommended to be used in the early screening of pancreatic cancer because of its limited specificity. Recently, increasing numbers of studies focused on the discovering of novel serum biomarkers and exploring their combination with CA19-9 in the detection of pancreatic cancer. Besides, the application of liquid biopsy involving circulating tumor cells (CTCs), circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA), microRNAs (miRNAs), and exosomes in blood and biomarkers in urine, and saliva in pancreatic cancer diagnosis are drawing more and more attention. Furthermore, many innovative technologies such as artificial intelligence, computer-aided diagnosis system, metabolomics technology, ion mobility spectrometry (IMS) associated technologies, and novel nanomaterials have been tested for the early diagnosis of pancreatic cancer and have shown promising prospects. Hence, this review aims to summarize the recent progress in the development of early screening and diagnostic methods, including imaging, pathological examination, serological examination, liquid biopsy, as well as other potential diagnostic strategies for pancreatic cancer.
Clinicopathological Prognostic Factors and Chemotherapeutic Outcome for Two Histopathological Types of Ampulla of Vater Adenocarcinoma

Abstract:Background Adenocarcinoma of the ampulla of Vater (AAV) is standardly treated using a complex operation, a pancreatoduodenectomy (PD), to remove the tumor. However, dicision-making in AAV clinical treatment remains difficult due to the broad range of AAV types, outcomes, and responses to special chemotherapeutics. Thus, this study aimed to explore clinicopathological prognostic factors associated with overall survival, as well as post-chemotherapeutic effects related to curative resection of AAV. Methods We retrospectively reviewed data for clinicopathological outcome of 47 patients diagnosed with AAV that had underwent a PD. Overall survival probabilities were obtained using the Kaplan-Meier estimate method and a Cox proportional hazards model. Results Forty-five patients underwent LPD (laparoscopic pancreatoduodenectomy) and two patients underwent PD. The patient group was composed of 31 males (66%) and 16 females (34%) with a mean age of 65(34-91)years. We selected 45 patients for long-term survival analysis. One- and three-year overall survival rates after resection were 97.6% and 58.9% respectively. The median survival was 37.7 months for the intestinal-type and 26.9 months in pancreatobiliary-type ampullary tumors. Serum carbohydrate antigen (CA) 19-9 greater than 37 U/ml (HR 0.140, P = 0.007), perineural invasion (HR 0.141, P = 0.003), and classification as pancreatobiliary-type (HR 6.633, P = 0.006) were independently associated with poor survival. Serum carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) greater than 5 mu g/ml (P = 0.031), serum CA 19-9 greater than 37 U/ml (P = 0.002), tumor sizes greater than 2.5cm (P=0.002), and positive perineural invasion (P=0.003) were all associated with a poor prognosis in the histopathological subgroup. Serum CA 19-9 greater than 37 U/ml (P=0.002) and positive perineural invasion (P=0.001) were significantly associated with poor survival in of patients with intestinal-type ampullary tumors. Serum CEA greater than 5 mu g/ml (P=0.013) and tumor sizes greater than 2.5cm (P=0.002) were significantly associated with poor survival in patients with pancreatobiliary-type ampullary tumors. Conclusions Pancreatobiliary-type ampullary tumors were associated with poor survival. Serum CA 19-9 in the intestinal-type and CEA in the pancreatobiliary-type were significantly associated with poor survival. Ajuvant chemotherapy could not predict the survival of AAV patients.
Diagnostic Value of CT/MRCP, US Combined with Serum CA19-9 and CEA for Periampullary Carcinomas

Abstract:Objective To study the diagnostic value of computer tomography(CT),magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography (MRCP),ultrasonography combined with serum CA19-9 and CEA for periampullary carcinomas.Methods We analyd the imaging findings and laboratory testings of 87 patients with periampullary carcinomas which were confirmed by surgical or biopsy specimen of ERCP.Results ①CT or MRCP was better than US in diagnosing periampullary carcinomas.② There was significant differences in serum CEA between four categories of periampullary carcinomas (x2 =9.97,P ＜ 0.05),while the serum CA19-9 had no statistical difference.③CT,MRCP,US combined with serum CA19-9 and CEA improved the diagnostic accuracy of the periampullary carcinomas.Conclusion CT,MRCP,US combined with serum CA19-9 and CEA can improve the early diagnosis of periampullary carcinomas and help for clinical treatment plan.

Abstract: To investigate the expression of immunomarkers CK7, CK20, CK17, CDX2, MUC1 and MUC2 in primary adenocarcinoma of the ampulla of Vater, to explore the role of these markers in the histopathologic subclassification of ampullary carcinoma; and to provide biologic basis for precision treatment of patients with different types of ampullary carcinoma. Forty-two cases of primary ampullary carcinoma were collected at Peking University People's Hospital, from 2012 to 2018 year. There were 22 males and 20 females. Aged range 42 to 88 years old, with mean aged (62±11) years. Among the patients, 6 was high differentiation, 19 median differentiation, and 17 low differentiation. Immunohistochemical studies on the expression of CK7, CK20, CK17, CDX2, MUC1 and MUC2 were performed in 42 cases of primary ampullary carcinoma. The relationship between different ampullary carcinoma subtypes and clinicopathologic survival data was analyzed using SPSS 16.0 statistical software. Three histopathologic subtypes were observed. Among 42 cases, 8(19.0%)were classified as intestinal subtype, which showed a positive expression rate of 8/8 for both CK20 and CDX2, and 5/8 for MUC2. Both CK7 and CK17 were weakly expressed in one case (1/8). No expression was observed for MUC1 in this subtype. Twenty-two (52.4%,22/42) cases were classified as pancreaticobiliary subtype, which showed a positive expression rate of 100.0%(22/22) for both CK7 and MUC1, and 90.9% (20/22) for CK17. No expression was observed for CK20, CDX2 and MUC2.The remaining 12 (28.6%) cases were classified as mixed subtype, which showed variable expression patterns. The expression frequencies of these 6 immunomarkers in different subtypes of ampullary carcinoma did not correlate with various clinicopathologic factors such as patient gender and age, tumor size, histologic differentiation, pancreatic and bile duct invasion, or the depth of duodenal invasion. However, stage Ⅲ+Ⅳ diseases were more commonly seen in pancreaticobiliary type (63.6%,14/22) than intestinal type (2/8) and mixed type (3/9; χ(2)=6.508, 0.039). Follow-up data showed a trend of better survival rate for patients with intestinal subtype than those with mixed and pancreaticobiliary subtypes. Ampullary carcinoma can be subclassified into three different subtypes using a panel of six immunomarkers, especially for the identification of subtypes of poorly differentiated carcinoma. CK7, CK17 and MUC1 are major markers of pancreaticobiliary subtype, whereas CK20, CDX2 and MUC2 are useful markers for intestinal subtype. The mixed subtype variably expresses these markers. The prognosis of patients with intestinal subtype appears better than that of pancreaticobiliary and mixed subtypes. Accurate subtyping of ampullary carcinoma is clinically important to patient management and prognosis assessment.

Abstract:Biliary malignancies include those arising from the intrahepatic and extrahepatic bile ducts as well as the gallbladder and hepatopancreatic ampulla of Vater. The majority of intrahepatic and extrahepatic malignancies are cholangiocarcinomas (CCAs). They arise owing to a complex interplay between the patient-specific genetic background and multiple risk factors and may occur in the liver (intrahepatic CCA), hilum (perihilar CCA), or extrahepatic bile ducts (distal CCA). Biliary-type adenocarcinoma constitutes the most common histologic type of ampullary and gallbladder malignancies. Its prognosis is poor and surgical resection is considered curative, so early detection is key, with multimodality imaging playing a central role in making the diagnosis. There are several risk factors for biliary malignancy as well as predisposing conditions that increase the risk; this review highlights the pertinent imaging features of these entities with histopathologic correlation. The predisposing factors are broken down into three major categories: (a) congenital malformations such as choledochal cyst and pancreaticobiliary maljunction; (b) infectious or inflammatory conditions such as parasitic infections, hepatolithiasis, primary sclerosing cholangitis, and porcelain gallbladder; and (c) preinvasive epithelial neoplasms such as biliary intraepithelial neoplasm, intraductal papillary neoplasm of the bile duct, intra-ampullary papillary tubular neoplasm, and intracholecystic papillary neoplasm of the gallbladder. Recognizing the baseline features of these premalignant biliary entities and changes in their appearance over time that indicate the advent of malignancy in high-risk patients can lead to early diagnosis and potentially curative management. Identification of Ampullary Carcinoma Mixed Subtype Using a Panel of Six Antibodies and Its Clinical Significance.

Abstract:Objectives To investigate the function of immunomarkers CK7, CK20, CK17, CDX2, MUC1, and MUC2 in the identification of primary ampullary carcinoma mixed subtype. Methods Forty-two cases of primary ampullary carcinoma were performed by immunohistochemical studies. The correlation between the mixed subtype and the other two subtypes and patient survival data was analyzed using the SPSS 16.0 statistical software. Results Among 42 cases, 12 (28.6%) cases were classified as mixed subtype, which showed variable expression patterns: 91.7% (11/12) for CK7, 83.3% (10/12) for CK20; 66.7% (8/12) for CK17, CDX2, and MUC1; and 50% (6/12) for MUC2. Ten (83.3%) mixed types coexpressed four or more immunomarkers. Eight (19%) intestinal subtypes mainly showed a positive expression of CK20, CDX2, and MUC2. Twenty-two (52.4%) pancreaticobiliary subtypes showed a positive expression of CK7, MUC1, and CK17. Stages III and IV diseases in mixed subtype (25%) and intestinal subtype (25%) were less than pancreaticobiliary subtype(63.6%) (p = 0.039). Follow-up data appeared to show a better survival rate for patients with mixed subtype than those with pancreaticobiliary subtypes. Conclusion Immunohistochemical staining provided a more reliable means of diagnosing mixed ampulla carcinoma. Accurate subtyping of ampullary carcinoma is clinically important to select effective chemotherapy regimens and to assess disease prognosis.

Abstract:Duodenal and ampullary carcinoma is a rare malignant tumor. At present, the main treatment is surgical, the pancreaticoduodenectomy is common for ampullary cancer treatment, some scholars proposed to local excision or endoscopic papillectomy. Local excision and endoscopic resection has the advantage of operative mortality and postoperative complication rate is low. However, due to the lack of large case-control study, for the local excision of early ampullary cancer treatment effect is still in dispute.

Abstract:Gallbladder cancer (GBC) is the most common malignant tumor in the biliary system, characterized by high malignancy, aggressiveness, and poor prognosis. Early diagnosis holds paramount importance in ameliorating therapeutic outcomes. Presently, the clinical diagnosis of GBC primarily relies on clinical-radiological-pathological approach. However, there remains a potential for missed diagnosis and misdiagnose in the realm of clinical practice. We firstly analyzed the blood-based biomarkers, such as carcinoembryonic antigen and carbohydrate antigen 19-9. Subsequently, we evaluated the diagnostic performance of various imaging modalities, including ultrasound (US), endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) and pathological examination, emphasizing their strengths and limitations in detecting early-stage GBC. Furthermore, we explored the potential of emerging technologies, particularly artificial intelligence (AI) and liquid biopsy, to revolutionize GBC diagnosis. AI algorithms have demonstrated improved image analysis capabilities, while liquid biopsy offers the promise of non-invasive and real-time monitoring. However, the translation of these advancements into clinical practice necessitates further validation and standardization. The review highlighted the advantages and limitations of current diagnostic approaches and underscored the need for innovative strategies to enhance diagnostic accuracy of GBC. In addition, we emphasized the importance of multidisciplinary collaboration to improve early diagnosis of GBC and ultimately patient outcomes. This review endeavoured to impart fresh perspectives and insights into the early diagnosis of GBC.

Abstract:The pancreaticobiliary duodenal junction (PBDJ) is the connecting area of the pancreatic duct, bile duct and duodenum. In a broad sense, it refers to a region formed by the head of the pancreas, the pancreatic segment of the common bile duct and the intraduodenal segment, the descending and the horizontal part of the duodenum, and the soft tissue around the pancreatic head. In a narrow sense, it refers to the anatomical Vater ampulla. Due to its complex and variable anatomical features, and the diversity of pathological changes, it is challenging to make an early diagnosis of malignancy at the PBDJ and define the histological type. The unique anatomical structure of this area may be the basis for the occurrence of malignant tumors. Therefore, understanding and subclassifying the anatomical configuration of the PBDJ is of great significance for the prevention and treatment of malignant tumors at their source. The present review comprehensively discusses commonly used imaging techniques and other new technologies for diagnosing malignancy at the PBDJ, offering evidence for physicians and patients to select appropriate examination methods.

Abstract:The early detection of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) dramatically improves outcome. All available state-ofthe-art imaging methods allow early detection with EUS being the best technique for exclusion of PDAC and detection of very early PDAC. Etiological differentiation of small SPL is important to guide individually tailored patients??? management including radical surgery in resectable PDAC, medical (neoadjuvant or palliative intended) treatment in patients with non-resectable malignancy, pancreatic parenchyma saving strategies in some non-PDAC, and follow-up in particular in low-grade PanNEN or other small benign lesions. Multimodality EUS imaging including B-Mode assessment, elastography, contrast-enhancement and EUS-guided sampling is the most appropriate technique for diagnosis and risk assessment of small SPL. We present a review discussing modern (endoscopic) ultrasound imaging techniques including contrast enhanced ultrasound and elastography for the early detection and characterization of solid pancreatic lesions. Abstract:Pancreatic cancer, one of the most lethal malignancies, is increasing in incidence. While survival rates for many cancers have improved dramatically over the last 20 years, people with pancreatic cancer have persistently poor outcomes. Potential cure for pancreatic cancer involves surgical resection and adjuvant therapy. However, approximately 85% of patients diagnosed with pancreatic cancer are not suitable for potentially curative therapy due to locally advanced or metastatic disease stage. Because of this stark survival contrast, any improvement in early detection would likely significantly improve survival of patients with pancreatic cancer through earlier intervention. This comprehensive scoping review describes the current evidence on groups at high risk for developing pancreatic cancer, including individuals with inherited predisposition, pancreatic cystic lesions, diabetes, and pancreatitis. We review the current roles of imaging modalities focusing on early detection of pancreatic cancer. Additionally, we propose the use of advanced imaging modalities to identify early, potentially curable pancreatic cancer in high-risk cohorts. We discuss innovative imaging techniques for early detection of pancreatic cancer, but its widespread application requires further investigation and potentially a combination with other non-invasive biomarkers.
