Abstract:BACKGROUND To observe the effect of ankle-foot orthoses on motor function of the lower extremities about hemiplegic stroke patients.CASE REPORTS70 hemiplegic stroke patients were randomly divided into two groups.Ankle-foot orthosis was used in one group(OG 40 cases) and not in the control group(CG 30 cases).Both of them accepted the same conventional physical therapy.The specialized of rehabilitation physician undertake rehabilitation movement training and massage manipulation therapy.To give a mark for motor function of the lower extremities at the first day、the 3～4 weeks、 the 8～10 weeks after hospitalization.The scores of two groups were indiscrimination about motor function of the lower extremities at 3～4 weeks after falling ill.OG was better than CG at the 8～10 weeks about motor function of the lower extremities.DISCUSSIONThe hemiplegic stroke patients who used ankle-foot orthosis orthoses and cooperated with conventional physical therapy can improve motor function of the lower extremities and promote healing.
