Abstract:Mice were immunized with FMDV antigen in oil emulsion with GSLS.Blood samples were collected for the measurement of IgG level.Splenocytes were prepared for the detection of lymphocyte proliferation and mRNA expression of IFN-γ and IL-4 in vitro.The viscosity of oil emulsion vaccines were measured with a viscometer.Results showed that the highest IgG levels was observed in mice immunized with FMD emulsion vaccine containing 4 μg of GSLS(P0.05).GSLS significantly promoted the lymphocyte proliferation in response to ConA and LPS and mRNA expression of IFN-γ and IL-4(P0.05).Compared with control group,co-administration of GSLS(4 μg) significantly reduced the viscosity in vaccines containing polysorbate-80 of 1.0% and 1.5%(P0.05),respectively.Results suggest that GSLS could improve both humoral and cellular immune responses to FMDV in mice and reduce the viscosity of emulsion vaccine.
