Abstract:Testes-specific protease 50(TSP50) is a cancer/testis antigen.Its gene was discovered from a human testes cDNA library.It is normally and specifically expressed in the spermatocytes of testes,abnormally and highly expressed in several tumors.TSP50 can promote tumor cell proliferation,colony formation and migration,and inhibit cell apoptosis.It is an ideal target for tumor molecular imaging and biotherapy.This review summarized the current progerss in the research of TSP50.
