Abstract:During the Anti-Japanese War,the associated universities adopted the combination of centralization and decentralization,whose governance were like the federal university or the commonwealth university.From the first national examination and enrollment in 1938,Hanzhong became the higher education center in Northwest China,due to the appearance of the Northwest Associated University.Although it existed for a short time with less fame than the Southwest Associated University,it was also significant in the modern history of higher education.The Northwest Associated University was the product of universities layout adjustment from the coast to the Northwest,was the precursor of the university westward movement in the 1950s,and was also the culture,education and history resource of the West Development.
